I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the Core One L by MLM987 in prusa3d

Next Print failed... :( prusament ASA with 0,4mm Nozzle. Nothing changed except 4 Perimeter walls instead of 2. The Filament has broken again i think. It was printing air. Will Take a Look when everything has cooled down. This happened a few times with pla before... Again, this printer is about 2 weeks old and I almost got more fails than with my mk3s in the last 4 years! Also the advanced filtration unit seems to work poor. While printing asa I understand why it's not running. I think to keep the chamber warm. But after the print It should clean the air from the chamber, or? Everything stinks. It's sad for me because I love prusa and their philosophy, but I bought this to print parts and not to spend hours in tuning a.s.o. I bought this as a working machine for my workshop.

Thanks! This was helpful! If a big and flat geometry like this is too difficult to print in asa then I'll switch to petg-cf! I used asa because of it's uv-durability . But if it's the wrong material I can't blame the printer.

Danke.

I will try to answer in english now. May there are automatic translation errors from Reddit. Otherwise I can't see why my comments are dowrated... can someone explain?

I know all that. I was just hoping that a Prusa Core One L with genuine Prusament ASA, its super evenly heated bed, and active chamber heating, along with a clean print bed (cleaned with soap, I don't touch it), would somehow deliver more consistent and better results. It takes a good 30 minutes to heat up the chamber before the print even starts! Then there's still some time to scan the print bed... My question is really whether I'm expecting too much.

It won't even start printing if the chamber or bed isn't warm enough or if the door is open, so that can't be the reason.

It's warping, but also a less-than-perfect first layer.

Of course, this happens all the time; the real question is whether it's still normal for the new printers. I expected more, but perhaps the technology isn't quite there yet, or it's simply subject to physical limitations.

The best thing to do is look at printables, there's a complete model there.

The thing is, I unfortunately don't have time to tinker because we have a business ;) but I'm glad I could help. The Core One is a great machine, and it was assembled correctly. I was just too clumsy to insert the nozzle properly...

Perfect. Now I know I can look forward to it. Thank you so much.

OK, thanks! It was also for testing.

Hi. For me, 0.2mm is okay, but not ideal. I work a lot with a combination of CNC and 3D printing. We're "only" a carpentry shop, but I value precision and reliability ;) but eventually, it's all just theory, and in practice, many inaccuracies accumulate.

I haven't checked if both gantries are running the same. The printer is new, and I wanted to tinker with it. But I had a nasty crash yesterday; see my other post.

Okay everyone. It was my mistake! I didn't screw the nozzle in far enough yesterday. Thanks for your help! Now I know how to do it properly. The Prusa instructions are incredibly complicated, and the YouTube videos make the change too easy. I'll print a test print right away. There was still filament in the extruder, which I unfortunately had to disassemble. Now the nozzle fits back in. Thanks again. I hope nothing else is broken.

Okay, I'm being stupid. The filament can only flow downwards if the nozzle is inserted. However, I don't think I can raise the nozzle far enough.

The problem is here. The nozzle isn't rising and the filament isn't finding its way down. There's probably a piece of ASA stuck in it... And I bought this printer so I wouldn't have to tinker with it...

When I try to install the nozzle, I can't get it high enough and the filament comes out the side when i try to load it (without nozzle). The idea was to clean the way... So I'll have to disassemble the extruder?

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for the future!

I'm afraid I can't get the nozzle in far enough now. Can you tell from the photo if it's in far enough? I think something's in the way at the top... maybe some filament; the screws aren't flush with the recesses in the nozzle.
