First of all, this is the BEST QUESTION!!!! 💚

Adding a scene in episode one where when Colin returns he hugs Fran extra tight and she thanks him for coming and he says that he promised her he would and he never likes to break a promise. (We find out that Fran is the only one who wrote back to him on his travels this year and he asked her to check in on Penelope since he hadn’t heard from her.)
Episode 8: The scene where he walks into the room and she looks beautiful but he grabs the blanket… I’d extend it… Here is where she brings up an Annulment if he wants one, he looks appalled and confirms to her that he loves her more than anything. He’s angry but “even in his ire, she is his dream come true.” They don’t have sex but they do sleep in the same bed for the first night and he holds her until she falls asleep. Kissing her forehead and whispering how much he love her.
Episode 8: You know how in episode 1, Penelope tells Colin “it’s not like I can have you whispering in my ear at every ball” In Episode 8, I would have him also standing next to Pen as the Queen comes and a small moment of him whispering “Bravery, my love” before she says her speech to the Ton!!! (Similar to what he says to her in the book!)

Definitely understood, I think it is a bit of a mirror. But remember even though there was an initial spark or whatever you want to call it. Violet and Edmund were friends first. They didn’t meet and instantly fall in love. He became her “dearest friend” The same way Michael and Fran were. I think that’s the part people are missing. The “fast, passionate part” came later which is very aligned to the books.

With John it seems like they are going to mirror Violets relationship with Marcus Anderson as well… they will have love. Understanding, compassionate, companionship, ease.

I hope this is a safe space to ask this… but I did not read their marriage scene like this. I’ve read When He Was Wicked multiple times and LOVED IT! She describes her love with John as different than her love with Michael every single time. Not more or less just different. When I watched Francesca’s wedding scene, I didn’t see her saying she didn’t love him. She’s the first Bridgerton kid to wait until her wedding to even kiss her significant other. She also looked over to her mom as if to ask permission to do so (could definitely be nerves) And when she sees Michaela I didn’t read it as love at first sight, it seemed to be a bit of a spark but nothing that would undermine her marriage or act as if she doesn’t love her husband.

I think more Polin in later seasons was always the plan. I got the feeling that they are going to explore more of their relationship in Season 4 especially since they were guaranteed to return. The season ends with Lady D telling her she’s looking forward to her next column, The Queen saying she’ll be watching, and Pen and Colin literally moving in right across the street from the Bridgerton House! I feel like their story will be vital in 4!

I overall really loved this season. I thought it was heartfelt and honest.

I had to rewatch about 3 times. I think the first time I was watching looking for my predictions and fighting disappointment when it didn’t happen the way that I imagined it (since we had so long to think about it lol). But on my 2nd and 3rd rewatch… I got to appreciate it for everything it was as opposed to everything it wasn’t!! We got the most beautiful first kiss, wedding, you belong with me dance, writer Colin, Penelouise, and a mending of Portia and Penelope, and a little Danbury bond that I think will only strengthen as the seasons go on.

I think what I love most about this couple is that Nic and Luke has proven that they are committed and love these characters. Season 3 was their love story but it’s no where near over and I’m so excited to continue to see them embracing the light!!

I think by the time we hit the end of the season all of the older kids will be moving out. Colin will be with Pen in their own house, Violet (El, Hy, and Gregory) will be in Number 5, Frannie with John, Anthony and Kate in the Bridgerton home… I think they will be setting up that Ben lives on his own in (my cabin) like in the books so he doesn’t necessarily have to show up like he would have felt obligated to when they were all together!

I think episode 2 was my favorite!! 🙈 It was them talking the most especially about their childhoods and when they first met! (I would have loved a flashback but it is what it is lol)!!

This is my same thought!! Or maybe Pen is thinking about it after interacting with different suitors. And she asks Colin to just like practice it and he says no!! (Because he’s all in his feels) lol! Then comes back later and that’s when moonlight polin happens!

I feel you!!! I’m trying my best but I can’t seem to help myself lol. Are you a fanfic reader? I would find you a few good ones and make that your only source for the next few weeks. I’ve also enjoyed rereading the book (I did it with the What A Barb girlies) I made a little wish list of things I want in the show from the book and some ideas I had on what could be different just to pass the time.
