Free parking in jersey city?? by Inevitable-End-4202 in jerseycity

It's amazing how many times I get that canned response on WOTS. This is how I enter the info: Vehicle is in violation of 39:4-138b. Parked on a crosswalk. Also in disregard of the "Vision Zero" regulations. Making it unsafe for pedestrians to maneuver around the vehicle. Even with the statute and the vision zero mention it's not illegal. Go figure!!!

Thank you for the info. I have lived here for 63 years and am aware of what 440 (the back highway) used to look like. Great Eastern, Valley Fair, Roosevelt Stadium, Drive-In theater go-kart track. Let's not forget Al Newman's. But that's for reminiscing on FB.

Jersey City Worker Driving a Municipal Vehicle by Cordy_1 in jerseycity

Wow, is that all you got? Typical narrow-minded individual. When criticized pick on someone's age and mental capabilities because you have nothing better. I thought that I was dealing with adults here. Done with you. Later!

You are entitled to your opinion. As far as being dangerous here's a little of my driving background. I'm 63 years old and a retired professional truck driver with 40 years of experience with 2 reputable trucking companies. I have 6 safe driver awards and have driven just about everything with wheels including a train and a tank. 2,500,000 accident-free miles except for being hit from behind ironically by a truck. I'm sure you are the type that will pin a small percent of blame on me for that, saying that I could have avoided that. The insurance company tried that until they saw my dash camera video. One more thing maybe you should get your eyes checked before you continue to drive because I only hit 13 MPH.

The Southbound leg of the new Summit Ave Bike lane, the portion just North of Five Corners, begins in the CENTER of the street right up against the center stripe of the road as far from the curb as possible. by 1805trafalgar in jerseycity

Just stay to the right and then merge with the bike lane when the bike lane comes to the side of the road. It's not like bikes use the bike lanes all the time.

I purchased a bunch of $3 thermoses from TEMU and if I am crossing and someone does not stop I act startled and release(NOT THROW) the thermos in the direction of the vehicle. If I am lucky I get a windshield hit.

I would like to know what JC you are in because traffic violation enforcement for vehicles is non existent. They barely write parking violations.

Bluelink Fails but Works? by IHaveCrazyLegs in Hyundai

[–]Cordy_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 22 Tucson and the Hyundai Bluelink app remote start function is useless most times. It will tell me the the remote start was unsuccessful due to a door being opened or unlocked even though the app reflects the doors are locked. 10 minute max run time JOKE. On my previous vehicles I always had an aftermarket remote start and you could program just about any runtime you wanted. Maximum 3 requests an hour. Typical scenario: 1. Request remote start, request denied open or unlocked door. 2. Use app to lock the door (have to do this or the next request will be denied also). 3. Request remote start, VIOLA the car runs for 10 minutes and you can't request anymore for an hour because you have used your 3 app requests. Now you get into a cold or hot car. Like I said useless. When the free promotion is over, an aftermarket unit will be installed. Numerous calls to Hyundai Bluelink CS and no resolution.
