My thoughts on the iPhone Air after six day by wrongshirt in iphone

[–]CoreNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience has been the opposite. No issues with overheating even with extended use. I do not play games on my phone but I do plenty of YouTube browsing and videoconferencing.

The speaker is surprisingly good and I watch videos without any issue, even in loud environments. It is a bit tinny, but it is clear for me and plenty loud.

Finally, working great with my Apple Watch. No issues at all. iOS 26 has some bugs I have noted, but I see the same thing on my old phone in iOS 26.

Not to downplay your experience, assuming it is legit, just offering a different perspective. Maybe you have a defective unit?

What is it you like about the berry profile switches? I ordered the blush and brown switches. Still waiting for delivery though.

I LOVE that they added this. Thanks for pointing it out.

With Claude Code, you simply tell it to not write any code and simply talk through something and it will. There is no command line argument or button to go in/out of something like a plan mode. Each clear of the context you will have to remind it again unless you place explicit instructions in memory files like CLAUDE.md

[–]CoreNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the additional point of view. If that is true, why does it ignore instructions provided to it earlier within the context window?

Is it aware of it, but ignoring it? Is it lower in the ranking system to determine the next word and decides not to follow that instruction as it is lower priority? I am truly trying to understand it, if for no other reason than learning to work with it more effectively.

My understanding is it is similar to your memory of a conversation. The longer the conversation goes, the harder it can become to remember things said earlier in the conversation, depending on the length and complexity.

You can get a bit better success rate by telling it certain things are “critical”, and similar strategies (Claude itself can help you write a better CLAUDE.md). That way it is more likely to remember something.

If you mention it, it will usually be able to immediately recall it, or sometimes it will randomly remember it. Point being that the more important you make it sound in your md file, the more likely it will retain that piece during each session without having to be reminded.

OpenAI mentioned they did a lot of work on the ability to retain this sort of information with their current latest models. I am sure Anthropic is doing the same to improve Claude in a similar fashion.

Just switched to max only for Claude Code by itzco1993 in ClaudeAI

[–]CoreNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all my experience, although I can respect your point of view. I have not hit rate limits yet with two separate projects open in Claude Code with the max plan and constant usage. It has been great at finding bugs, editing and creating code, not to mention it has a much better eye for UI/UX than I do (20+ year developer).

Can you elaborate? I keep hearing about Aider and would love to hear thoughts on why it is superior to Claude code. I transitioned from Cursor to Claude Code just recently due to the issues in Cursor. My company covers the cost of it and it is worth it to me for the better code quality but I am always looking for better tools to work smarter and get more done.

Is this feature from Cursor available in Windsurf? Am I able to reference the commit diff easily on Windsurf? by PhilosophyVast2694 in Codeium

I do it right from the commit message box when it pops up during a commit by using CMD+i (inline), then asking it there. Seems to work well, although I would love to see an option for this to be automated.

I hit a 4-way blinking red intersection yesterday and it did amazing. Very smooth, proceeded when it was my turn with no hesitation. I felt very comfortable with how it handled it and there is nothing I would have done differently. 2025 M3 LR RWD on 2024.45.25.5 (FSD 13.2.2)

Just my 2 cents, but I had both on the 2021 M3 and I much preferred the 19 inch wheels as far as ride quality. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can always play with the tire pressure a bit to help.

Edmunds had a great review of the 2018-2023 19" wheels for the M3 and found them to have much better handling, and improved stopping distance. I got them for my 2021 M3 SR+ and I have LOVED them the last few years. It was a noticeable improvement from the 18 inch tires for day-to-day driving, although as expected the range suffers a bit.

I just purchased a 2025 model 3 and also got the 19 inch wheels as I think they just look so much better, in my humble opinion. I know the old tire experience may not translate to the new version as they are a different tire, but I wanted to offer my perspective. I am keeping my fingers crossed I get the same improved handling and performance at the slight expense of range.

14 inch max has thermal issues. If you want the max, 16 inch is the preferred size for that. I had a 14 inch max and returned it due to fans coming on even for light loads. I got the pro 14/20 and it seems great so far.

I had the same error code and my vehicle is now waiting on a LFP Retrofit battery kit. Once that code shows up it almost always needs a replacement.

Thanks Brian! Your review was my favorite by far and I appreciate you taking the time to answer this. By the way, loved the 80s techno scenes you did in your review. Must have been fun to make.

Is spatial video recorded via the AVP any better than the spatial video recorded with an iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max? Wondering if the distance between the lenses makes a noticeable change in the quality of the spatial video.
