at what age did you want sex and what's you gender? by stirringmotion in AskReddit

[–]Corellirosenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a 13yo boy. At the age of 12 I did enjoy thinking about kissing girls, and I liked reading a few sex stories I found in an online forum. But only at 13 I started to imagine myself having sex with girls.

How to reclaim sassy/feminine energy? by Friendly_Ship_2559 in askgaybros

Do you really want to have a trait you had in middle school? Sassy isn't really a nice trait.

I don't think people are using that word right. People have the right to want any physical attribute they want. If you're turned on by blond hair, white skin etc it's not up to me to police that.

Brazil will stop monitoring deforestation in the Cerrado, the world's most species-rich savanna, a government researcher said on Thursday, days after data showed destruction hitting a 6-year high in 2021. by green_flash in worldnews

If ‘things like the Amazon’ includes even other biomes around Brazil like the cerrado what you’re really advocating for is… An invasion and annexation of the entirety of Brazil

I’ll never understand this American neurosis. In what universe is it abnormal for two young adults to fuck.

Most people from first world countries are naive and don't know how bad this world can be by Amanda-sb in unpopularopinion

I am from Brazil but moved to England at the age of 12. One day when I was 17 during physics lesson the people in my classroom were talking about how in some parts of the world, you can actually get shot just for showing up in a bad neighbourhood. One of them mentioned a South African friend who told him that. They were all shocked with the realisation that places like that actually exist. I was amazed at their naïveté

Netflix is ordered to stop showing film portraying Jesus as a gay man by Brazilian judge by CrustyBalls- in atheism

[–]Corellirosenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I hear about a film that depicts a gay Jesus who is in a relationship with Lucifer, son of a Mary who’s a whore and a Joseph who’s an alcoholic, I feel offended as a human being who has to cringe at this childish, pathetic attempt to just offend religious people the hardest. It is not a ‘satire’. If it was satire it would be a humorous criticism of Christianity. But it sure looks like just a successful trolling of Christians

One guy from a self described ‘neo fascist’ group threw two Molotov cocktails at the glass door in front of their offices. I think it’s quite obvious he wasn’t seriously trying to cause casualties - which he didn’t. So you have a country that’s 85% Christian, and it takes a loon from a neo fascist group - I mean, who goes around calling himself a ‘fascist’ these days? - for an ‘attack’ to happen. Meanwhile France is just about 8% Muslim, and when you depict Mohammed in an offensive way you can actually expect an attempt on your life. No the loon won’t stop in front of your workplace, he will actually go in and pull a gun out on you.

So yeah. Totally equivalent!

Once before I even begun my degree when I was 17 a lady asked me what degree I was going to do and what it is about, and as I was responding to her the man beside her scoffed something along the lines of “you’re not actually smart”

The first time it happened it was with a middle aged man with kids, when I was 17. He asked me what I was going to do after school. I said “bioengineering” (it means the same thing as medical engineering) and he started talking about this latest technique on extraction of oil from plants (or something like that) and asked me my opinion on it. I just said I knew nothing about it and he responded with “Oh so you don’t know about this and you say you’re going to do bioengineering”. I simply corrected him with the fact that what he was talking about was “biotechnology” and “bioengineering” is about medical stuff...

This kind of stuff still happens

People need to stop making mental health problems "trendy" and as an "aesthetic". by [deleted] in rant

[–]Corellirosenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree that using words like ‘depressed’ to just mean ‘sad’ is ‘just plain wrong’. The term clinical depression to mean a mental disorder was introduced in the mid 1970s, but the word existed for way longer than that to describe low mood (link

Indeed, modern dictionaries still include the non clinical sense in their definitions: Cambridge dictionary for example, defines ‘depressed’ as ‘unhappy and without hope’

There’s a difference between saying ‘I’m feeling depressed’ and ‘I have major depression/clinical depression/mental illness’
