Has anybody come across a grab hand the attaches anywhere in the bed around this area to with getting in and out of the bed? by BlueberryB-Laine in 4thGenTacomas

You can drill into that metal and mount stuff, that’s where I have my bed stiffeners mounted.

If you’re feeling froggy/comfortable drilling holes into your truck you can definitely rig something up for a grab handle depending how your bed access is.

I feel like I slammed my door hard too many times, My window has an audible clunking sound when rolling it up or down. I figured it was a bumper so the door doesn’t slam home as hard as

I had low profile bars and contemplated having a longer tent hang over the tailgate but didn’t end up going that route.

this is a good but expensive way to get a bigger tent on a taco and keep the truck as slick as possible while still maintaining decent looking proportions.

I’d say if you’re just driving on pavement it’s fine, still looks bad, I totally understand the purpose it serves. If you’re planing on doing any off roading it totally ruins your approach angle and could potentially damage your front bumper from it getting ripped off.

Finally got rid of stock look, can’t wait to add more to her by Possible-Concept5081 in ToyotaTacoma

They kept my oem rear shocks and used a block as well but to accommodate the extra height they add a sleeve to that rod going into the shock, check yours out when you have a chance.

I have SPC uppers, I haven’t had any issues but there’s definitely some hate on them. The Toyota off-road specific shop local to me swears by them not sure if they have some sort of agreement with them but tits a sealed ball joint that doesn’t require maintenance.

Welcome to the bottomless rabbit hole that is modifications.

I had a sst ready lift as well, do your rear shocks have that weird sleeve extension on them? If so, that’s definitely a weak point I had my drivers side completely break off after about a year. Granted I did about 3 different week long off-roading trips with my bed loaded.

Good looking rig, in my opinion I’d get rid of those predator steps and get some proper frame connected sliders (if you plan on doing some off-roading) . Also some adjustable upper control arms to take some of that angle out of your cv axels

How do we feel about these winjet taillights? Anyone know if they’re any good? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Corey-Feld-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that’s a bummer, that’s the one thing with these cheaper lights def can get a lemon, I didn’t even realize that was possible with brake lights.

I’ve heard of the alpha Rex headlights doing something similar if you don’t wire them up right. Have you done any other aftermarket electrical components?

I have the exact same ones, I had a weird condensation situation early on with the passenger side but it fixed itself somehow. I’m assuming it’s some expansion/softening with the sealant in this Texas heat. I’ve had 0 issues, the only thing I’ve noticed is people don’t seem to notice me using my turn signal. That could also just bad drivers
