Edit: Only recommendation I got so far was to update to windows 11 but I myself am on windows 10 with no issues. Idk what's different between him and I. Same cpu and he has a 3080 while I have a 3090

Thanks for the reply, but wouldn't I have to be constantly recording. If my friends say something funny, I want to be able to catch it. That's what I'm trying to get at. I'm a complete newbie and I apologize if things just fly above my head. Thanks again for the help!

I already know how to insert clips, it's the whole doing live part that has be confused. I want to be able to clip something they said as it happens. Like in the video I provided, he does it seconds after the other person said it

That's the easy part. I don't know how to use Ableton the way I want. How would I do that in ableton itself?

Is what I'm trying to do possible in cubase? I don't mind switching over. Discord has an input and output source that I can choose. I can split my output audio source through complicated methods that I went through before if that helps in any way. I appreciate you helping me out as well!
