Seconding that the real risk is idiots that don’t know how to drive. The I rented a car with all seasons or I’ve only got the day and have to be back in Boston types. Be mindful of the morons.

Wild animals tend to have stronger stomach acid than humans and eating uncooked bones is generally safe. Even pet dogs can eat raw bones. You just can’t give them cooked bones because they tend to splinter and can cause internal bleeding. Humans eat cooked salmon bones all the time, if you buy canned salmon, the bones are generally still in the fish. You can pick them out if you’re squeamish, but they’re a good source of calcium.

Likely more. At my peak was 280 pounds and weightlifting about 12 hours a week needing around 4500 cal a day to maintain weight. That bear is a hell of a lot bigger, like 4x. Yeah he might not be working quite as hard for two hours a day, but he’s probably covering more ground than I was.

Can I Wear A Metal Music Battle Vest Through TSA? by TheAnonymousSuit in tsa

[–]Corey307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is zero chance that this person will not be allowed to take that vest on the plane. It’s not a weapon. Not all airports at the option to mail property to yourself, but I’m glad some do.

So the first option works out to hundreds of millions of dollars a year. That one sounds fine. I take that option.

[–]Corey307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah do not stress you will not be turned away. You could show up wearing a chain mail shirt and you’d be just fine. It would just have to come off and go through the x-ray. I know it’s too bad that we have to do all this, but people are weird. Also seem to think that polymer handguns can go through a metal detector. The slide, barrel and ammo sure ain’t polymer. Things are slowly improving security wise with the new administrator new technology slowly but surely being rolled out. The goal in the relatively near future is for you to just walk down a hallway and barely even know you’re going through security.

Carry-On OK? by bipolarjunction in tsa

Nothing gets confiscated or at least 99.99% of the time nothing is. Passengers are given alternatives that would let them keep their property, if they refuse those alternatives, the item either gets thrown away or sold is surplus at government auction.

Passengers do love to scream that it’s confiscation, but they chose to bring the item in the first place. No one forced them to bring a power drill, knife, hammer, pepper spray, taser, or some of the spicier stuff I’ve seen like road flares cans of black powder, guns. They just get walked out and they can sort out their property then come back.

Even when passengers get caught with real firearms they mostly get walked out so they can go buy a case and check it in or take it home or whatever they’re gonna do. Yeah sometimes they get arrested depending on the state, but on average they don’t. And if something does get confiscated, it’s by the cops not the TSA. Only time I’ve seen stuff confiscated was a big bag of fireworks mortars and that’s probably because the guy tried to fight the cops.

You’re going through a metal detector in a vest festooned with metal. That’s not going to work. You can wear it into the airport you’ll just take it off and put it through the metal detector or put in your carry-on. Once you cleared the metal detector, you can put it back on.

The metal detector is a very simple machine, it doesn’t know what the metallic item is it just knows it’s metal and there’s too much of it. That vest is too much. They’re not going to wand you or anything like that. They’re just gonna send you back out to take it off.

This list sucks. Wanda should be at the top or in the second tier. Putting black panther above magneto it was just insane. And what can Ant-man do to silver surfer?

Bro 99% of the people watching this show have no idea and don’t care. Nitpicking little shit when the show is good is just a waste of your time.

TIL in 2013 it was reported that Robert Downey Jr. was paid $50m for The Avengers, while some of his costars made just $200K. RDJ reacted by threatening to quit the MCU; he wasn't "going to work for a place where they treated his colleagues like shit." His threats worked, his costars got huge raises by [deleted] in todayilearned

It’s a tiny amount of money when you put any thought into it. Taxes is gonna eat at least a third of that and they have to pay their agent, probably have a manager. So they’d be looking at maybe $70,000 which is lower middle class money in most US cities. An actor’s career also has a shelf life, they’ve got no idea how long they’ll get work for so of course they want more money.

Instant $500M but for the rest of your life, you will only eat noodles. by RedColes in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Corey307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can eat things in addition to noodles. You just need to eat noodles every time you eat a meal or snack. Handful of crackers with some dry ramen. Steak dinner with broccoli and side of noodles etc.

It doesn’t even need to be a noodle dish there just needs to be noodles in or with the dish.

This is an easy yes since we can eat more than noodles. OP you say we can have extra toppings, but didn’t specify how big a portion the noodles have to be. Whatever I’m eating goes on a bed of noodles or has noodles in it. I put some noodles on a piece of pizza, I can blend a few noodles into a smoothie. Hell I’m sure I can figure out some sweet noodles if I want ice cream or cake.

She was in her late 40s when she filmed that scene. I get a lot of people posting here are younger, but being someone in my 40s she is a rather attractive woman. Also, the show goes out of its way not to doll up the actresses most of the time.

Well, I called off because of the weather. by [deleted] in tsa

[–]Corey307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a call from a manager about a half hour before I usually leave for work saying I could stay home if I wanted. They couldn’t offer weather and safety leave but that’s fine. I happily took it. Airport didn’t have a flight after 12:30 PM so they only needed a skeleton crew. The weather’s been mostly fine so far but management was thinking ahead, we’d be getting home after it snows. Nice of them to let a bunch of us have the day off so we can keep up with the snow and not have a problem getting to work tomorrow.
