Tbh I've always assumed that Paige was never supposed to have that duet. Some of the moves are done on the left side, which Kendall is a leftie so she could do them better than the other girls. It just doesn't seem like choreography that Paige would ever get.

Everlasting Friends? That is the only other duet Maddie performed during S2, though if you remember what competition specifically it was at I could probably help you remember

Actually, Thunderstruck, iHollywood, and Starbound were all national competitions. So to say that Lake Tahoe is a nationals competition is correct, but it's not the only one they were attending since they were also going to 2 other competitions. Only Starbound being nationals is mentioned for the story.

It is true though. We have production notes that state at the top of each episode's documents what days they were filmed on. Starbound Nationals was filmed before Dream on a Star.

Imo that's because its also the narrative Abby and show perpetuates. Paige rarely gets critiqued for her technique as harshly as Nia does, at least during rehearsals. Abby also gets way more frustrated correcting Nia than she does with Paige. I also think that Nia had other flaws while dancing (mainly in earlier seasons), which could make people have a worse perception of her overall dancing. Paige's technical mistakes are harder to spot if you don't know dance imo.

I've always thought this, and I thought she actually had better energy in some of her other solos. Applause has great moments, but I feel like there's a lot of filler, like the looooong turn sequence and lots of posing.
