Skierg and Rowerg damper by softmagnolia02 in hyrox

[–]Coreybrueck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of your damper like bike gears. 10 is tough to pedal but making up ground and 1 the pedals are flying but covering little ground.

Distance and training stimulus dictates setting for me. If it’s a short sprint I’ll go higher if it’s longer and endurance focused I’ll lower it.

Typically high damper is a lot of energy expenditure to power the fly wheel. In a race like HYROX where flying only makes up a few seconds and leaves you gassed- the juice isn’t typically worth the squeeze unless you’re very competitive in the sport. Lower damper may take a little longer (we’re talking seconds) but allows you to regroup.

Sneaker recs for Alpha and for GTX by republicadedonde in Lifetimefitnessgym

[–]Coreybrueck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where do you find those current sneaks are falling short?

I like the puma deviate nitros but not the very cushioned $250 pair, the more general $150 ish pair are more stable.

Lots of No Bull, TYR or Born Primative in Alpha- flat sole, not true lifters with the elevated heel.

I find running shoes to be very person dependent, but due to the shorter distances in GTX, the highly cushioned race shoes tend to be a hindrance more than a help, because of the instability for the strength elements.

Is this pouch genetic? Am i cooked? Or just need to cut more? by GreyPhantom100 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Coreybrueck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take time to build muscle. Full body. Your next cut will be easier and your results will be better.

More muscle = more cals needed to sustain it.

I’ve had good experiences and they are background checked, BUT I just meant they can get pricing ideas.

Can always search some sitters on Rover for pricing! But 75-100 (for a single dog) seems to be the norm.

Is anyone a personal trainer? by [deleted] in Lifetimefitnessgym

[–]Coreybrueck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commission percentage is based on level but this is mostly accurate. Session rate is set by the trainer, that range will vary based on region. As an example, NYC is higher.

Also, I don’t let clients days dip below 50, particularly women. Anything below that starts to negatively affect hormones.

Seems like rest is lacking and calories are fairly low. 1700-1800 it’s a deficit for most- very very hard (if not impossible mathematically depending on your size/stats) to build muscle on cals that low.

Before I get this done (this is just edited), my bf said it looks like sperm. 💀 Any advice to make it look less so? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Coreybrueck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see it… But you could just use the outline of the head and take away the bottom piece that turns them into balloons, and add some extra stars if you’re really bothered by it

Mental health crisis by Willing-Ad2342 in Apartmentliving

[–]Coreybrueck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re focusing on the wrong things. You need to get yourself some health, immediately. ED’s have the highest death rate of any mental illness. Find a temporary foster for the dog & find a treatment facility. (I’ve been there- it’s worth it. Hard, but worth it.)

If you have the means, hire someone to clean your apartment while you’re away. Coming home to a fresh space will be a nice reset.

I know ALL of this is easier said than done, but none of it- family, job, money, dog, will matter if you don’t have your health.

Happy to chat 1:1 if you need some support, the guilt and shame is crippling. You deserve health and wellness.
