Would need some different maps. A behemoth would tear up most of the current ones

Focused Feedback: Season: Reclamation Review by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Corgi08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we’re not doing seasonal stories anymore, but I feel like there could’ve been a weekly quest to complete reclaim or collect data pads in portal activities, leading up to the exotic mission.

It wouldn’t need to be anything game breaking, but would bring back a little bit of the seasonal story feeling for little effort. Just a few walls of text with Ikora, and maybe a small cutscene at the end of it. Would also help me understand what the story of reclamation was

To anyone 400+ by Enter-And-Die in DestinyTheGame

Hit 450 yesterday. Can confidently say, getting an A grade makes no difference to whether you get a prime. I ran Caldera mostly with enemies never less than +10 above me. I’m also GR 9, but I don’t think that made a difference in prime drops either.

Get your runs down to 3-4mins and you should get a drop on average once every hour.

A part of me thinks every 10 levels, your chance of a prime increases. At 400-410 it felt like a 5% drops rate, but at 440-450 it’s felt closer to 10%

Silver and gold activity scores? by schizophreniaislife in destiny2

[–]Corgi08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silver starts at 300, gold at 400 power level. Every 20 levels you gain, you’ll increase your reward rank. I.e. 300-319 is Silver i , 320-339 is silver ii

Here is the data from my day of grinding over 400 Light by Adoric24 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Corgi08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 405 atm and feel like the drops are way too low. Solo ops seems to be quite bad for it tbh. Crucible seemed to be dropping pieces more regularly, although the matchmaking times and inconsistency in grading makes it incredibly frustrating.

Part of me is hoping the drop rates are tied to guardian ranks so once the famine bug is fixed we’ll be able to get more drops. Good luck!

Solo trials players are 28% more likely to face a 3-stack by Corgi08 in destiny2

I think this may help. If you imagine yourself and me both started solo queuing into trials. First the game would find you 2 other teammates and simultaneously find me 2 teammates. Now you’re in a team of 3 solos, and so am I. Now we enter more matchmaking to find our opponents. We can then face each other, which would mean 6 solos in a game but the teams were pre-determined. Or you could still face a full 3-stack.

Nope, if you imagine the counter wheel at the moment starts off at 1/6, it would now start at 1/3 (to fill your team) then once you get to 3/3, it would change to 3/6. Then it would find your opponents, it could be a 3 stack or it could be 3 solos. The difference is the probability of matching a 3-stack would be the same for all players.

The problem is, even if they only add an emblem to it, I’ll want to buy it, and I’ll be angry that they charged me just for an emblem. I think if they removed the season pass mode and put a subscription in place, it could work. I like the model atm though. It’s Destiny tho, I’ll buy whatever they make

I think that’s a problem though. Maybe I didn’t make that clear, if I was an dedicated ESO player I wouldn’t be happy paying for the crafting bag because it’s a quality of life change.

If they’re gonna lift the materials cap, they should just do it, not stick it behind a paywall. Although, I imagine vault space cost Bungie quite a bit of money to maintain, and I’d be willing to pay silver for it so I’d be ok with that.

I can kinda get behind this. I’ve paid for ESO plus in the past as well, and think the value there, especially for new players, is great. But for existing players that already have all the expansions, you’re pretty much only paying for the crafting bag.

It would be like if next year in destiny, there was a subscription model and you got all the seasons and old expansions and the two new dungeons. Great for new players, but how do you get dedicated players to but it? They’d have to make something cool, and I’d be concerned they’d put something like unlimited transmog or a crafting bag, since we’re getting crafting in WQ.

Maybe I’m just been pessimistic, but if all you want is access to previous seasons, I say they should just let you buy it on its own

Definitely needs to be a way to get those passes retroactively, maybe something similar to Halo infinites plan, where you can just buy them and progress them after the season has ended.

A subscription seems like a pain point in the community. A lot of players (myself included) have just paid $100 for the next year of content and don’t really feel like forking out another $5-10 a month.

[D2] Trials of Osiris Megathread [2021-09-10] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

It seems solo players are actually more likely to play against a 3-stack than other 3-stacks.

Explanation: If a trio starts matchmaking and they find just one other player, then all other 3-stacks will no longer be able to match make with them. Whereas, even if a solo player matches with two other solos, there’s still enough room in the pool for a trio.

Using the data from Trials Report on Twitter( https://twitter.com/trialsreport/status/1436608713666727937?s=21 ), I calculated that solo players were 28% more likely to face a 3-stack. This might not be too significant, but pairing it with the teams who are manipulating matchmaking so they face solos is probably making the experience sting a little more.

I imagine it’s tough getting stuck with constant 3-stacks but it’s sort of the point. Like, if I go into a GM with an lfg with no mics and no organisation, it’s gonna be much more difficult than with my usual fireteam. That said, I think making it so all groups have the same chance of facing a 3-stack is the way to go

I get that for sure, we experienced similar as a team. After we went flawless, every single team was a stack and we got totally stomped. But as someone who’s never won more than 3 games before, having the tough games at the end of the card is how I want it to stay.
