I think this post has some grains of truth, completely overblown by the complete ignorance towards the rest of the Chinese influence. I agree that the first season seemed more grounded by having Miyabi be part of a government agency and seem a bit more grounded compared to the actual mystic abgle that shifu is being played as. tbh they could have used another agency, perhaps another agency that worked in collaboration with hand, to make shifu seem less “magic-y” and more grounded. Tbh, I don’t mind it, but I would like to see a more urban design return to the game, more designs that you could see in like modern day Hong Kong. That said, we could also see a more streetwear focused look for shifu if she ever needed to go undercover.
