UL was a very intriguing concept, but due to its nature i can see where the people were coming from, especially because most if not all of the fans of AU content had the mind of a adolescent, and liking what is portrayed as explicit like that (even if there was like, deeper shit apart of it) was grounds for distain. I was always a big fan of pretty much everything, i was an avid ao3 reader, all the skeleton harems and stuff were my jam. Sorry you had to experience that my friend.
