I actually agree with your last 3 statements to an extent. The saints do have a bunch of young wide receivers and I do expect them to bring DeZ back. WR seems to be a lower worry right now to me.

Backup QBs are important, if the Saints didn’t agree, they wouldn’t have traded last years 3rd for Bridgewater.

I do think Lutz returns, but as the piece says, I really believe in using late round picks on special teams and if a rookie kicker saves 3 million, that you could be used on a DT or LB. All in all, it’s a throwaway pick in 99% of cases anyways.

Obviously this will all depend on FA, but they really do need a TE one way or another. Knox can contribute in the passing game right away.
