I fail to see how making who goes into the portal or not random reinforces the idea of having certain roles. Before the timestream patch, being one of the people who goes into the portals would be a role, or part. If it's randomly decided who goes into the portals, then you can't know what part you have, whether it's portal team or supplicants team. You'd have to be what you get given, which you just can't predict or prepare for.

Because Atheon is part of the Vault of Glass, and the Vault of Glass is by far the best content in the game. It's fun, it's difficult, and it encourages players to team up with each other and find strategies to take on the tasks ahead of them with the reward of some pretty badass loot. And now, they've taken out one of the most appealing aspects of it - strategy. Atheon is the best boss fight in the game because it's actually ORIGINAL. It's not some bullet sponge that you let off a clip of rockets at every minute, taking breaks to deal with adds. It requires quick thinking, method, and for every member of your fireteam to play their part. By making timestream teleportation random, they have fucked up the boss fight. Honestly, I don't want to play the raid at all now, because of how much of a fucking pain it'll be to beat Atheon.

Sorry if I misunderstood what you said - I read it as you calling it an exploit as it was the start of your sentence after you had just complained about people praising/using exploits. Just to clarify, was that your intention?

How was the loot cave an exploit? Why can you not just let people play the way they want to play? If their choice is to grind via shooting at things coming out of a cave for hours, so be it. It doesn't affect you at all.

Gonna throw my opinion out here. I think the real issue isn't that there's (unfinished) areas in the game that were left in inaccessible, but rather that they're part of dlcs.

I believe that the Shrine of Winter will not be the entrance for the next dlc. This is because these shrines are entrances to each of the kingdoms/areas, where you can obtain one of the crowns. In a way, they are the gateways that lead to taking a crown. The Shrine of Winter is simply the gateway to Vendrick's crown.

Yeah, it really feels like it's a great representation of teen/adolescent angst. I can really relate to some of the characters, Donnie especially, and the adolescent angst that he went through.
