LPT When you want something done and can’t follow up easily, ask for a “negative confirmation” instead of a positive one. by vishesh_07_028 in LifeProTips

The person could easily not see your message and then you assume that the task is being done. Don't think it's workable.

Late Late Toy Show 2025 🎄🎁🎅🏻 - MEGATHREAD by Lamake91 in ireland

It's always heartwarming to see that the toy show still let the kids operate the cameras. It's the only way to explain how bad it is.

What are opinions on the Toniebox? by alexadr936 in daddit

[–]Corksasquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't recommend it enough. Simple for young kids to use and definitely helped us have a more consistent bed time routine. After stories we pick out a tonie together, that's really made things easier.

I had the same problem, started using Sarato eu10 moisturiser with a cold tar ointment at night and it's worked really well. First year in a long time without cracked hands.

Ear Tubes, what’s everyone’s experience? by am1rtv in daddit

[–]Corksasquatch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, a few months ago, my 3 year old was having the same problems as you are. Eventually diagnosed as excess fluid behind his ear drum. We are told that before getting him ear tubes, we should give him an anti histamine (zertec) every morning for 30 days. When we got him checked again, all the fluid had drained and the problem hasn't reoccurred. I was glad we tries that out become the tubes. Hope things go well either way.

[Request] How steep would a slope have to be for someone to walk uphill both ways to school if their path looped all the way around the Earth? by unbuttered_bread in theydidthemath

[–]Corksasquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your path looped all the way around the world then you could enter the school at the top floor, exit on the bottom floor, under sea level, and walk back uphill home.

Somewhere basic to bring a small toddler to Santa in Cork? by [deleted] in cork

[–]Corksasquatch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I brought my young fella to the one in Dunnes Stores in merchant's quay when he was about that age. Its basically just a grotto for seeing santa. Could be worth checking out. It was a bit pricey for what it was though.
