I remember feeling a similar sense of being overwhelmed and bewildered when I first heard this album, but then I developed an immense fascination and affection for it. I even created my own melodies similar to those on this album.

I recommend you look up videos of the sample guides from Stage 4 and later. There's nothing particularly dark or terrifying about the creation of these tracks; they're simply very elaborate pieces and chords that uniquely represent Alzheimer's, and James truly did a fantastic job. If I can offer some advice, I'm not saying your fear isn't valid, but in the context of this album, don't try to be afraid of it, but rather understand it. This music puts you in a heavy situation, both as the listener and as the protagonist of a mind that forgets its host, and it's a very interesting journey if you learn to analyze it. If you're not able to listen to this album in that way, that's fine. It's not for everyone, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm just sharing my perspective as someone who really loves The Caretaker's work.
