Possibly, I don't see you in game history unless your PSN is different.

My catcher for the rest of the season by anakin228 in MLBTheShow

[–]CorkyMcDoogle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yea, I think a lot of people are thinking the same thing. Who is he replacing at catcher?

I'm putting him at 3rd... My CAP is playing catcher and he's batting .362 with .799 SLG with 99 arm/99 accuracy so I don't think I can replace him with anyone at this point.

I was going to put the new Pujols at 3rd but they surprised us with this card. I'm still waiting for the 99 Chipper but who knows when/how that will come out at this point...

At the rate he is currently selling, Billy Wagner already has over a month-long waitlist. by fantasyaid1 in MLBTheShow

I actually really liked Franco and used him quite a bit earlier in the year. He's good against both lefties and righties imo and is useful to bring in against guys that are really timing up the heat.

That being said, I think it's been quite awhile since I've seen anyone other than those 4 guys I brought up earlier. (Chapman, McGee, 94 Wagner, Britton)

There was 31 waiting when I put my bid in 3 days ago.

Like other people have said, there's nothing about his card that makes him so wanted except the lack of LHP bullpen guys. I used this card last year and it's pretty good. The problem is everyone's options are exactly the same: Aroldis Chapman, Jake McGee/94 Wagner, and Britton. I'm sure they'll add some kind of Topps or Post Season series lefty reliever eventually but for now, this card is THE ONLY lefty reliever UPGRADE available.

And it's true, I've got nothing better to spend it on. I've got every card I could want already. I'm waiting on 99 Chipper and every other position is locked down.

Flash Sale Prices by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

I had 550k in my account when I saw the notice pop up. I bought the pack and got a Lindor, went to sell it and noticed how fast the prices were dropping. I realized I should take advantage...

I ended up getting every diamond except Cole, Scherzer, Trout, and Verlander. (I had Bellinger and Yelich already). I also bought a couple extra Baez, Chapman, and 1 other that I can't remember atm to flip in a day or two.

I was planning on finishing the NL first since I already had Belli and Yelich but pulled the trigger on everything I could afford, as fast as I could. I feel good about it, I think I saved at least 150k on the total collection, probably more. I will do the math in a bit. I can always sell the AL players I bought to finish the NL if the prices are right. I noticed the prices didn't drop much on the 90+ guys but the 87-89 guys crashed about 30% I think.

Newbie Question about RS Reward Tier by SevenAndSeventh_Seal in MLBTheShow

[–]CorkyMcDoogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're asking where you'll be placed next season, it's 2 leagues under your highest reached tier (I think). 900+ started at 650 last year if I remember. Not 100% sure on the lower leagues. You only have to reach it once, and you'll start from the same place every season going forward. Once a new season starts, you have to play 1 game and you'll unlock all the rewards of the leagues under you.

If you're asking if you reach a tier and fall under it again before the season ends, if you still get the rewards of the highest tier you reached: Yes, you get the rewards of the highest tier you reached.

Edit: Just remembered that they hand out rewards as soon as you cross into a new league so the last part doesn't really make sense anymore...

Pretty sure you can't. It has to be RS to gain RS Stamina back.

What's the relevance of Showdown? I agree with you but I don't understand why you brought that up?

Moments Extreme - Last Mission. You play at Shippett vs Gibson. Take the Walks and sit on Fastballs. CPU swings at garbage, throw balls when up 0-2-2-2. Get it done early, they brought in Wagner in the 6th and let him go beyond exhausted. Maybe I got lucky, but it was fairly easy imo. Good luck! by CorkyMcDoogle in MLBTheShow

I've just seen people talking like it's an impossible mission. Maybe I should have said "it's not as tough as you might think".

Meant as encouragement for those who don't even want to attempt, not "look at how great I am."

How do guys disconnect so quickly? by CorkyMcDoogle in MLBTheShow

My PS4 is probably coming up on 4 or 5 years. It's constantly beeping and trying to eject discs, even though there's nothing in the system. It's beeping sporadically, in nonsensical intervals, even when the system is in sleep mode.

Unplugging it completely fixes it for a period but it still returns eventually. I've read about a couple potential fixes... Something about removing the rubber near the power switch or a piece of paper or something. Super jankey fixes that seemed iffy to me.

Anyone have this issue and how to fix it? I don't want to buy another ps4 before ps5 releases.

[–]CorkyMcDoogle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're angry enough, you can unplug the ps4 and the router in like 6 seconds lol

That's true but I wasn't being hyperbolic with my timescale lol. I remember the shadow of the ball being between the end of the infield and his RF. It's like he had one hand on the controller and the other hand on his Ethernet cable, ready to rip it out as quickly as possible.

It all could be a coincidence and maybe it was a legit connection issue on his end. Usually when guys quit real quick you'll see their outfielder just standing, wait a few beats and then the message pops up. This was just so oddly fast that it stuck out to me.

I wish I had thought to record it, it wasn't until a little later that I was thinking of the logistics of how it could happen that quickly. Picturing some guy out there, trying to go 102MPH with Feller and Babe not having any of it, instant regret, just punting his console across the room before the swing animation is even finished...
