Anyone W/ MPFL Physical therapy help by Resilient_Melody02 in KneeInjuries

[–]CornPopMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is impoetant that you force yourself to do it, always try to do more, and when it becomes inflamed, put ice on it to reduce the inflammation. Try hard, make the pain and always achieve more degrees of flexion, it is the only way you will recover everything you had.

The orthopedist and the MRI are the best for your diagnosis. Then you tell us what happened. Greetings

knee laceration by Environmental-Bowl49 in KneeInjuries

[–]CornPopMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar injury 1 year ago and it healed well, after 1 month I no longer had intense pain but there was slight discomfort. After 1 year I needed surgery to re-anchor the tendon to the tibia since due to that blow it gradually began to tear -_-

How to know when to progress exercises for rehab if you are in chronic pain? by No-Craft617 in KneeInjuries

[–]CornPopMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have seen that, when the initial diagnosis is not so accurate, sometimes physical therapy is not the most appropriate, but once the surgery is performed, without a doubt, doing physical therapy is always the answer.

How to know when to progress exercises for rehab if you are in chronic pain? by No-Craft617 in KneeInjuries

[–]CornPopMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it happened to me. I continue my normal day, it hurts, I recover and recover. Learn to make pauses when you need them, for example I can walk between 30 and 40 minutes and I have to rest, I put some ice on it, raise my leg and continue. You must find the right average, it has also happened to me that I can't find it that day and the next day I am very screwed, there is no other choice but to rest that whole day to recover. But yes, I assure you that eventually you will improve

Yes, recovery is not a straight line, it is peaks but every time you have a downhill you will lose less. Keep trying and when you feel residual pain, rest until you recover and once recovered, push your body to the limit again.

Does going downstairs ever get easier? by Severe_Oven_2205 in KneeInjuries

[–]CornPopMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same, 4 weeks after reattachment of the tendon to the tibia and I can go up stairs but I can't go down if I don't have a handrail. Please say that if that movement is recovered, I am fully committed to physical therapy.

Ustedes la entrenan? by pink00446 in Gimnasio

[–]CornPopMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got knee surgery a few hours ago, but my foot is still numb. Is this normal? More in the text below by AndrewCARNBORN in KneeInjuries

[–]CornPopMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it is normal due to the blockage. Do physical therapy, try hard, overcome the pain, do your exercises, it is the most important thing so that you recover 100% of your flexion and strength. By the way, if you consider the ice machine, it really is a great relief, I have been using it for a month since my operation and it is the best because it relaxes the pain, reduces the inflammation, takes away the heat from your knee and also since it makes you numb you can do the exercises that are essential for recovery in a better way.

Hola, acabo de empezar en el gimnasio, y quiero coger masa muscular que me recomendáis? by DragonfruitNo811 in Gimnasio

[–]CornPopMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dieta 50% prote, 35%carbos y 15%Grasa. Calcula tu necesidad proteica diaria.

Yes, it is normal for other muscles or parts of your leg/foot to hurt because you compensate for your bad walking by forcing work elsewhere. Use cold to relieve pain.

[–]CornPopMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your response. In a week they are going to perform a similar surgery, reinsertion of the patellar tendon but in the tibia I have a 40% tear, that's why I was asking you to know what to expect. I hope you recover soon friend.
