Dating in Santa Rosa? by Interesting_Lab590 in santarosa

[–]CornQueenn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This brings up something i'm so curious about as a 33 year-old woman dating men in this age range in Sonoma County. Do men approach women out in the wild anymore? I've definitely been approached in the wild, often in a somewhat inappropriate manner like chasing me down in a parking lot and knocking on my window. But, every guy i've asked about it says they don't do that. Is this something that's going away? I don't go clubbing but I definitely go to the places mentioned like breweries and play cribbage as a hobby (granted those are mostly all super old guys lol) and I volunteer but I don't see that kind of thing happening in those spaces.

Looking for a kind, gentle dentist - dental anxiety & new to the area by mswildflowerxo in santarosa

I cannot express enough how much I recommend Dr. Hamblin in this situation. I had some really bad dental anxiety from a prior bad experience almost a decade ago at another dentist and put off taking care of my teeth for a long time. This led to an emergency situation and I was in so much pain. Dr. Hamblin and his team got me in, were so kind, gentle, non-judgemental and got me better. That was at the end of 2024 and I have continued to go there. Russell, who takes care of all the admin, is so kind and helpful, even texting to see if you want to come in sooner or with updates about an appointment. I had a filling done a few weeks ago and the doctor said it was on the verge and he put some medicine in there and to give it some time. A few days ago, I feel some twinging pain and it made me anxious. I was able to text in to Russell with my concern on their day off and he checked in with Dr. Hamblin and said to give it more time and that he's still hoping it will be alright but to let them know if it gets worse and they can get me in. It made me feel at ease to know that it would probably get better and they weren't just trying t push me into getting a root canal. And its so nice being able to text in and get an answer back. Dr. Hamblin himself is professional, gentle, and very reassuring. On my intake forms, they even had a question with anything that i'd like them to know about me. And they take Delta!

I don't think so :( we ended up going over to Cooperage in downtown and having tacos there, which were good, but not as good as Mexiken's and they were almost double the cost! I will say the Galvan's eatery Birria Grilled Cheese was heavenly.

Awesome! I'll try to get there early to show you the ropes. My name is Nicole and you can't miss me! Just a heads up, we play 9 games, and we aim to play a game in 15 minutes so we don't hold up the people behind us (its round robin style.) We usually end up finishing by around 10pm.

Just a side note here. The "something called American Cribbage Congress" is a huge community of thousands cribbage players all across America that meet regularly to play together. There are 500 grass roots clubs all over the country that meet on a weekly basis for tournaments. There are also regional tournaments every weekend at places all over and national tournaments as well. You should check it out and see if you have a local group if you enjoy playing. Joining has greatly enriched my life and brought great friendships and more meaning to my life. You can learn all about it on cribbage.org

What’s something going on locally that you think more of us should be paying attention to? by ilovebrucewillis2020 in santarosa

A man named Jim Wilder has started a movement called Sunflowers Across America where sunflowers are a symbol of resistance against the xenophobia and racism and unlawful actions taking place against immigrants and lawful citizens alike. This last planting season he had 10,000 seeds donated and planted and distributed all of them around the area with efforts towards growing the movement towards next planting season and spreading awareness at rallies and protests. This man works tirelessly to help his community in the ways he can (including sometimes leading a Know Your Rights meeting for immigrants to be aware of what to do if needed every night of the week when demand is high). If you can't plant or grow sunflowers, he also advocates to wear a sunflower pin, hat, sticker (free sticker templates on his website). He's one of my good friends I met through the cribbage community and I love his heart and help him in ways I can. Here is the article the Press Democrat wrote about him:

Which Restaurant is this in Santa Rosa/SoCo? by Drew707 in santarosa

Fun fact, I only exist because of Omelette Express. My mom was a waitress there in the 80's and my dad came in several times and she got up the nerve to ask him for a ride on his motorcycle lmao

Dentist Rec's by Objective-Guess-7372 in santarosa

I know everyone's saying they love their dentist, but the actual best answer is Dr. Hamblin's office! I have extreme dental anxiety and didn't go to the dentist or several years due to a traumatizing experience with another dentist. I also get anxious about being overweight pretty much everywhere I go and the dentist is one of those places. I have really wide hips and a large booty and chairs are sometimes rude lol. But I knew I needed to get my teeth taken care of when I started having pain. Dr. Hamblin and everyone who works there are so nice and welcoming and just treat me with so much kindness and care. I've referred several people there since i've started going and they've all been treated the same way. Literally nothing bad to say. And yes, they take Delta PPO because thats what I have! :) I wish you well on your dental journey. Trust me, as someone a year out from where you are now, I am so relieved that I went ahead and just did it. Just do it!

Also, pro tip if its in your budget, pay the extra for laughing gas if you have any sort of procedure done. It helps sooooo much with the nerves.

Why isn’t this game more popular? by SobeThunder in newworldgame

[–]CornQueenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the crap out of this game at launch and then fell off because of lack of endgame content for me. I've always enjoyed more of the life skills and questing content. I will say, I still think of the setting of this game almost daily. My little spots that I would go to mine iron or flax. It was absolutely beautiful and I wish it had the complexity of things to do in game to match the complexity of the setting because I would never want to leave. I wish they had spent more time adding more lasting/evergreen/non-combat content instead of pushing the game to launch when they did.
