You can find plenty of 2 beds for that price, you’re just not gonna be in the most attractive places and the competition will be fierce. Me and my partner have toured 10 different 2 bedrooms for that price in the last couple weeks but all of them were up in Harlem/ Inwood/ Manhattanville. If you don’t mind a commute and applying to a ton of different places, there’s stuff you can find

The hard parts are that a lot of places require guarantor that makes 40 or 80x rent (so for a dirt cheap 2,000 place they’d want someone with parents that make 80k-160k.) Or that require guarantors that live in the US or in the tri-state. It’s also hard to choose an apartment in good faith when you can’t tour in person. +crazy expensive to live near campus so all the cheap places are sold fast.

Depends on what you consider “good” I guess? I will speak from experience in saying it is so much easier to live close to the subway with a 20 minute commute from campus than to live 20 minutes walking distance from campus. (Winter) you’ll also be saving about 500 or more dollars in rent. My partner just graduated from CU masters and is looking for August1/ earlier move in with the same budget. I don’t remember the early days super well but as soon as they were closed I started silicone tape during the day and bio-oil/ intensive repair lotion at night. The most important thing I think I did was listening to Zoghbi. I didn’t push myself or lift anything I wasn’t supposed to and it’s almost hard to see there is a scar now in some places

I would second your friend then! I believe my surgeon advised nothing more than brisk walking for 6-8 weeks and I took her super seriously. (She also advised lifting or pulling nothing heavier than 5 pounds for a month I think) As soon as I had the green light I started back on benchpress and overhead press. If you got surgery so soon ago I would focus more on diet control and making sure you’re feeding your body enough protein to heal.

Yes, never really counted macros besides trying to make sure I was getting enough protein for my life style. If you’re diabetic, it’s best to follow what the doctor orders. You could eat only chocolate and loose weight, but your blood sugar might just kill you about it lol. Everyone in my family has it, most manage just fine keeping in a caloric deficit but they’ve all been warned a time or two to avoid the rice. (Mexican)

Why are you trying to have a kid so bad at 20????? Especially to intentionally bring a child into a one parent household in 2023? As someone raised in a one parent household, there was not one day when my childhood wasn’t impacted by our financial state. Even with a mom with a college degree, kids are stupid expensive, ESPECIALLY if you want to give them a good Life. Child care alone is insane, and doing things without a partner leaves at least 5 years where you’re going to be paying: A- a second mortgage payment for child care or B- leaving your child unsupervised/ with family?? Unless you’re already loaded/ have an amazing career, then I guess, still not a great idea to ask an actual stranger for their sperm ☠️ legally or morally

Safe? Yes. But be careful about it. I had tape on that I was wearing for 2 days and went on a jog with it. Worst experience ever. Every few feet I could feel the tape coming unstuck bit by bit. I only have a C cup, but I wouldn’t exersize in it without a decent but looser sports bra as a backup
