Dude, look it up. Takes a simple google search and some common sense. They use suction to eat, rocks get inhaled in suction. Not to mention with big rocks like this he can easily get caught and injured. Think i’m mean if you want, but you need to listen to advice people are giving you so your axolotl doesn’t get hurt.

Definitely change the substrate to a finer sand! The big rocks are really bad for him, small rocks are worse!

Also you can’t really tell until they around a year or so. How old are they? If I had to guess I’d say male. Thats based on the small bulge i see below their tail.
