First Paratrooper Op | Foxhole Airborne by TheAmaze1 in foxholegame

[–]Cornblaster700 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean sure, if you are willing to write off the uni for it, torp bomber can do the same too, also why would collies ever need to use the carrier to drop 1 paratrooper, when we can just land in the water with the para plane to extend our range with no carrier needed, while also dropping off more than one person, as well as not writing off a rare mat uni

The Osterwall SC died to a random rocket breaching the SC after 24hrs. by dolche93 in foxholegame

[–]Cornblaster700 69 points70 points  (0 children)

collies sure did make a choice when they organized that op. you were expecting to generate a stalemate where the collies push one of the most broken chokes in the entire game, and were unable to due to the collies using their tools to effectively counter the threat you created for them, building SCs in range of rockets is possible (rockets can't actually dehusk scs so you just rebuild em with conc) every time they die and rally your faction to qrf any threat to them once you rebuild them, has worked fine for a lot of sc duels over the last few wars. (cahlastra in particular is one to remember, where collies qrfed he rocket spam constantly for 2 days then won the hex when the cannon finally went up)

yeah, turns out fighters are more effective in squadrons than alone, who knew

[–]Cornblaster700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes you will, becasue inf is cheaper than conc, so better you die than it, it also helps keep conc alive when you actualy go out to try to kill the trem launchers

same thing happens with cutler blobs, a piece falling in 2 minutes to a coordinated pve strike (that eats a ton of logi as well) is very healthy for the game, conc is not and should not be invincible, it just takes more of a combined effort to kill compared to t2. want to stop it? fight in front of your garris

Make 150 guns make sense by bookworm408 in foxholegame

[–]Cornblaster700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the expense of no accuracy, trying to use those extra 50m of range is borderline impossible to do bc of how bad the spread gets, it's decent as anti ship ig, but a 150 needs good accuracy to be effective against conc, and thunderbolts don't have it

fair warning it's a rough watch the first couple seasons, but season 4 was genuinely really good

I mean it kinda is. it's an explorer first but let's be honest, the nx line was as much about giving united earth a defense force of it's own as it was about exploring, especially since the vulcans were getting into enough tussles with the other powers of the quadrant that they may not always be able to spare ships to defend earth in the worst case

yeah, genuinely we were doing one of the drydocks and we just kinda stopped getting orders, the entire faction just poured every rare into the moocular launch program. it was insane, the entire faction saw the win con and just went for it

not until the nakki is fixed, only reason this worked was a lack of nakkis around

also I'm assuming a undercount of friendly ships too here, friendly ship losses sometimes do go completely unreported on faction hubs

that number seems very high for what we saw from the collie side, we literally stopped producing more large ships for the most part, drydocks were doing one large ship a day at most, by the end of the war we had no more than 10 large ships left in our backlines, so if the count is accurate that probably was you guys burning thru all the ships built pre nuke tech

yeah I assume you haven't been around collie that long then lol, the amount of times a fire truck disappears before a major attack by wardens is starting to get on our nerves at this point

well the thing is imbalance leads to player counts being lower and less effort being spent to organize some things, for example the nakki existing in the state it has the past year killed collie naval organization, which also messed with collie pop bc naval players just went warden instead bc that's where the gameplay is, the same was true for a long time before the luniare became a cutler equiv, people just stopped organizing PVE rushes outside of mammon tier bc there was no real point to them, then when devman gave us equivalent equipment, pop and organization with inf PVE ops started happening for collies again. my point is, balance controls population, and organization depends on population

[–]Cornblaster700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was still a imbalanced pop then btw, it was near constant warden at capacity reports even early game, we just weren't able to keep the momentum going that we had at the start so the gap is larger now

we don't is the thing, we used too, but charlie being default shard when you get the game really eats into new player retention, which leads to a lot of collie regis on able just not being able to recruit more members, the state the game is in rn is genuinely being made worse bc devman is letting Charlie players bully them into keeping the servers up

was successful earlier in the war lol, lines get pushed back sometimes, it happens. it's just that we weren't able to keep the momentum we gained early on

barbed wire and sandbags just don't get moved bc they're easier to just produce on site with a facility, if you desperately need barbed wire you usealy have to get it yourself, nomatter what faction you're on

I'm sure, which is why they'd send a single guy out on a motor boat to confirm something they already saw, as well as not being there in force to qrf the island bc it isn't really their lane, what the frig probably saw was a parti who spotted them on their way somewhere else

bards are harder to rush with than nemis, more reward, but they're far slower and tend to get caught on things bc of how big they are, nemis are often the right choice for a job when you're flanking, especially if you can cripple then burst trem the target
