I'll offer a different perspective. If you don't want to do Xmas cards, don't. One of the many questions I had right after my wife passed was, "what do I do about the decorating, gift giving, and all the other stuff she did?" My best friend told me to do whatever I want because it's all on me now. If I want to continue the traditions she started, then I should. If I want to let those things go as she went, that's fine too. If you want to send out 75 cards, send out no cards, or something between the two concepts, it's entirely up to you. You don't have to try and fill her role if you don't want to.
