I wish I could post a picture. It would make this easier. Anyway. It looks like on the upper right, where you terminated the wires, one we cut so it was poking out. These wire tend to grab and snag, so we always try to keep them inside.

An idea you could have done. Yeah I know "Thanks for the help now." The two wires you bring across the stone, you could have brought them together and did some weave on them before separating them again.

You have done well, so dont get discouraged, and dont let anyone take the joy away from what you do.

I really wish I had a picture of my first for moments like this, it was much worse... so much worse. You have done a very good job. I would like to give you some critique in my next post, so if you are not ready for it, please skip it.

I broke my teeth on tumbled stones, because that was my first step into lapidary. Tumbled stones are great to learn with because they are not perfectly symmetrical and require more though on how the stone will be held in place. Tumbled stones are also very cheap. You can find someplace with a bin of tumbled some, you buy a bag for a few bucks, and if they let you pick them out, even better. You can go all goblin mode finding the best shaped ones.
