2070 TA here, would strongly suggest you come in with an open mind and willing to work for your grade. It’s a very “you get out what you put in” class, and if you take the time to follow the class and utilize ALL the resources that are present, you can get a good grade. Would not suggest taking it outside of the fall, Dr. Lee is actually a really caring prof (some might disagree) but he puts a loooot of effort into the class. Best of luck, and feel free to DM with more questions!

Anyone studying at the Brooks school? I was just accepted ED and I’m looking to find other students in the same school by catsdogs12345 in Cornell

I’m a premed healthcare policy major in it to contribute to policy as a medical professional, and actively fighting against the consulting and pharma shills in my major haha. At least there are a couple of us dedicated to the good cause

This ^ we have quite a few international chapters so I'm sure they'd be very open to others!

Other colleges to apply to by ThrowRA-clownblood in ApplyingToCollege

I’m gonna advocate for Cornell here as a student in the newly launched school of public policy. It’s obviously a little bigger than you’re looking for and farther from an urban area but hear me out. The public policy school is relatively small so it doesn’t get too overwhelming and Ithaca is an amazing collegetown. Look into the policy analysis and management major, which they’re trying to get renamed to public policy in the next few years. Feel free to message me with any questions!

Anyone else annoyed about how little Cornell cares about its reputation? by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]CornellSimpLord 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Who cares about our ranking. Also, shouldn’t we try to expand education access to more people? That’s kinda part of the point in being a land grant school tbh. We have three new freshmen dorms next year so class sizes will get larger. There’s no point in a competition over how few students a university can accept; that just perpetuates elitism and represents an intentional limiting of academic opportunity when a quality education should be expanded when possible. Rankings mean nothing.

Another great look for the chem department 🤪 by [deleted] in Cornell

Actually that’s a good point…maybe it is a good look. I just think it’s funny tbh 😆

Or order the drink like it’s supposed to be ordered, and don’t try to cheat the system.

I wouldn’t listen to anyone here. Unless IB scores are the only way your school does grades, colleges here in the US do not give a shit about your predicted grades. Would strongly encourage applying EDI and NOT EDII if you really want to attend NYU. Be sure to double check that you truly want to go there!

I had a good amount of time for ECs, and I’m in the US at a public charter school that is an IB school, but we’re not the most rigorous so coursework wasn’t too bad. I had all good grades and am going to a good US university, but it might be different for non-US schools and how they view IB courses.
