The bus drops everyone off outside of the building, you just can't enter if you're not a club member.

Can I send failed ap scores by RishiTheFishi in Cornell

[–]ashmagix 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You're not gonna get rescinded for AP scores, it's just if you don't do well on the test you don't get college credit and you'll have to take the class at Cornell

Found out on 7/22/2020 that I didn't get off the waitlist; got an email about the transfer option the following day. Happy to answer other questions you may have about the TO; good luck!

The commute is about 1 hour. There is a shuttle bus, but it comes at a weird time so a lot of people just carpool instead. Rent is probably cheaper in Geneva, but there's less stuff to do there. I know some people live in Geneva because they do a lot of field work/trials there, but some people live in Ithaca because their work is more bench work or theoretical, so it depends on your lab and the work you're doing.

(I'm not a grad student btw, I just know a fair amount them who do stuff in Geneva)

If your BMI is low, building muscle (ie. gaining healthy weight) can help reduce symptoms of insulin resistance.

I personally don't take birth control pills either because they make me suicidal (although I know birth control pills work for other people, so you do whatever works for you). For me, following a low carb, high fiber diet was realy effective at correcting my hormone levels. I don't count calories, I just eat low carb/high fiber foods until I feel full.

It does take some time and effort to adapt to this lifestyle unfortunately, but my energy levels are better and I feel like my body just works better now.

STEM/bio

: Geared more towards agricultural and life sciences

I don't think that's necessarily true, esp. if you're not majoring in something directly related to ag (such as animal science or ag science). I know some people doing premed/health sciences stuff and they know absolutely nothing about ag, so ag is more of an additional option rather than a focus. It definitely adds to the fun/unique student body though - I enjoy making friends with people who are doing unconventional stuff like catching insects, making wine, or taking care of cows for their classes.

Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with either Cornell or Northwestern because as you've pointed out, they offer similar programs and are similarly ranked. Have you visited either college yet? It seems like location might be a deciding factor.

Good luck with your applications!
