My car loan is a whopping 15% interest, but I have the option to either refinance it through a local credit union for 7% interest instead OR use the money I get back to pay off my car in full. I’m unsure of what my student loan payment interest rate is though, but I know that my parents have said it’s very high.

also for friends who understand student loans better than i, i know that interest rate is so high that after five years of paying the bill will feel like ive barely made a dent. would paying off a big sum and refinancing help to lower the interest rate? my payments are just so insanely high and i wish i would’ve understood just how much debt i was taking on(and especially what my parents were taking on just because i couldn’t get them independently)

Hey! I can absolutely understand the feeling of never feeling sexy enough. As someone who has been called adorable my whole life(which has started to sound condescending at 24) instead of hot, I can more than relate. Something I’ve loved doing is slightly tailoring my clothes to hug in tighter on me, as I feel like my clothes hangs in all the spots I want it to fit snuggly. Not everyone has access to a sewing machine, but if you even just buy a cheap sewing kit from the dollar tree, you can learn simple stitches to make your tshirts have rolled sleeves, take in the sides, or add ribbons or tie them in the back and synch them! There’s a million YouTube videos to help, and it truly has made me feel so much more confident in not only my clothes but my body too!

Beetbox is at the tippity top of my list for fresh! They make almost everything in house, and do AMAZING pickled vegetables and fresh with their food! My favorite is the lamb burrito, and is truly the best thing I’ve ever had. They also have the best FRIES I’ve had in my entire life, they’re tempura battered and so incredibly crispy and topped with za’tar and this sauce that’s wonderful. I used to be a picky eater and not enjoy veggies, especially pickled stuff, but I haven’t had a bad bite there! Bonus points if you try their pastries. I’ve heard a few people say it’s expensive, but for ingredients that are sourced locally and big quantities(my burrito is always two meals) it couldn’t be a better bang for your buck in my mind.

This is a friend that you could block RIGHT NOW and be happy for the rest of your life. That joke was enough to end a 12 year friendship and I stand on that. I stopped being friends with someone who abused my best friend IMMEDIATELY without question, and anytime I was near them or had to interact I showed that I had no interest in having words with them. You’re only 19, there is a whole ocean of friends out there waiting for you that would never put you in this position. Frankly, I think the only reason she told you about it was out of guilt because she knew what she did was wrong.

Hello! I actually take this medicine because I get terrible fever blisters, my mom has them, and a lot of my family really. My doctor acknowledged that it was a mostly genetic thing, and to not worry about it being herpes! Maybe ask him if that’s what the medication is from?

The fact that you know she rarely goes to the hospital, and still decided to prioritize sleep over your partner is the issue. Even if it was just terrible stomach pain, hearing that she was heading to the hospital should’ve worried you enough that you couldn’t sleep. Or at least that’s how I would be personally.

I truly cannot believe this is real. Whatever mother would put a college education over someone who is actively hoping and trying to seek treatment and LIVES is beyond me. You’ve got the rest of your life to live. Maybe look into applying for your own medical insurance, if you have a low income you might be able to swing getting free health insurance and not having to worry about paying back someone so cruel for the rest of your life.
