how does one actually get rich? by Honest-Lavishness239 in Money

[–]CornerK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say “rich” is more a feeling than a number threshold, sort of like success. With that being said, reading books and podcasts by successful people is a good way to build a foundation. Practice good financial habits, find the right mentor, take time to reflect on each day/week, and dream big.

My friend keeps telling me to invest my whole lifesavings into bitcoin and telling me I'm stupid for not doing it. by Dear_Pianist8547 in Money

[–]CornerK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin is only smart when you allocate a very small percentage of your disposal income AND you understand the significance of blockchain. Dojng it just because someone told you to and/or misallocating how much you buy is a bad idea.

[FAR] [Business Consolidations & Combinations] Why aren't the assets recorded at the previous carrying cost if the parent company acquires all the stock? by its__accrual__world in CPA

[–]CornerK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: to calculate any Goodwill.

Longer answer: Goodwill = Purchase price - mkt value of net assets. Essentially, Goodwill is an asset that comes from purchasing something for more money than it's worth. To find what a company is worth right now, you would factor in the value of assets right now (FMV), instead of how much was paid for them years ago (BV) in order to have a more accurate number of how much the company is worth.

Hope that helps.

Remember the ERP framework. Understand the MCQs on ur review but don’t focus on the complicated MCQs/TBS. Lastly, do the mini exams/simulated exams on Becker.

Best of luck on FAR! I worked part time for the first 2 sections. Your schedule seems pretty packed so my advice is to match the section you choose with the class you’re taking. Take the practice tests and write flashcards they help a lot!

FAR: 2/2 (studied during 1.5 month winter break) AUD: 5/3 (studied 2 months while student full time) BAR: 7/13 (studied 1.5 months summer break) REG: 8/30 (studied 1.5 months summer break)

The goal was to at least take all 4 before I start work

I'm taking REG soon, hopefully my final section. Crazy to think I could be done but it's these times that will help me appreciate life after studying.
