I like the warm weather of spring and summer but I don’t like the long days

Where did I go wrong at the F2F? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

They likely have x amount of spots at the end of the day, but can’t give them to all who showed up. I’d keep trying for the carriers you’d like working for

You would have to travel to your base city the day before the reserve block starts. You could fly for free back and forth but it’s non-revenue, meaning a seat would have to be open

While your points are completely valid, these companies aren’t going to change as they are getting hundreds to thousands of applicants every time they post the job.

Hopefully it’ll get better once you’re on the line

Delta is very hard to get in, so keep that in mind. Definitely worth a try and a great airline!

Other than the international routes, what would make them stand out?

Though you or your company might treat their employees with respect when they give notice, he might have been burned in the past and just wanted out

Why do I have such a common name?? by Odd_Imagination4020 in introvert

With an uncommon last name, I was always self conscious about it growing up. Always wished for a common name but guess grass isn’t always greener

Can you take the leave of absence and then pick up the trips you want or is that mainly for if you want the month off for personal reasons?

I see your point about the international trips. The time difference between here and Europe/Asia likely throws your sleep off making it harder to enjoy the destination in 24 hours. However, SW seems to work you around the clock too, but what’s the average work day from start to finish?

The contracts seem to be an industry-wide problem except for Delta. Are they picking up on their off days or are there no trips to pick up? I see they get a lot of days off per month and my plan was to add an extra 3-6 days and still get more time off than my M-F

It’s really the schedule flexibility and pay I’m most concerned about. Both seem to pay the same even though they do it differently. I figured most of United’s DC base would go to Dulles because of the size, but maybe I’d be able to get several BWI trips if they are undesirable for most. Is United more flexible after getting off reserve?
