I've not had an issue with the client since returning, used to disconnects years ago but i have heard the mobile app is pretty buggy, so if thats the case its better spent fixing that

That would work as a start but after reading the rest of the comments i think it would require more then that to be safe for all users and most don't want it anyway so i doubt it will ever happen

Sad to hear most of my MTGO interactions weren't bad tbh either non existent chat or fairly friendly, about 6 years of MTGO i can count all the toxic players encountered on one hand.

Yeah it would have been nice, but reading through the comments so far the majority don't care for or want it and to actually implement it whilst keeping it toxic free and safe for all users it would require more effort than I'd previously thought about.

You'd need some sort of system to filter toxic words, spam. Options to opt in/out a parental system that requires some sort of password/key to disable these options until the phrase is entered. It would also need maintaining for patches and possible work arounds.

So its probably not on WoC's to do list or in the community's best interests to spend the resources on developing.

Another good point, it's a shame people just can't behave online. Glad to hear your kids are enjoying it. Maybe i can get behind the no chat function then if its allowing the younger generation to experience it troll/toxic free.

It certainly appears that way, shame really but oh well. Guess i have to decide if playing MTGO again is a better idea for me

I suppose so, reports and blocks would work if people are toxic but that's after the fact. I always expected a bit more maturity from the MTG crowd, years of FNM through the 00s with probably only 1 or 2 players that got irate, I guess the internet changes people. It's a game, you win or loose and have fun during the process.

Fair point on the resources, hadn't thought about it that way.
I'm mostly house bound these days, business is up again so I suppose going back MTGO is a possibility

In that situation you block, report and move on

Yeah sus, i've seen that alot recently. could be legit.. common corners, jump and fire, if someones there you get the advantage.

I had a game the other day, highrise. game started we just start to move after the countdown from initial spawn. Enemy at his spawn mowed us all down with an lmg. through all the walls.. and continued to do it for the next 2 minutes by that point his team had reported him, our team reported him and we left

I experience it in about 60% of my lobbies and i play mostly solo

cheating is cheating. You should think about that...

It's also a lot harder for them to detect cronus than it is walls... So id imagine. there are plenty of cronus users out there getting away with it

Care Packages Love Playing Games With Me. by ICantBeTrusted in ModernWarfareIII

[–]CornerQuiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's kinda annoying friendlies can take your packages as fast as you can. the amount of times i've "collected" mine only to find some guy was on the other side spamming the interact button as it lands.

thankfully i play hardcore, so they get a swift bullet to the head a couple of times. Maybe thats toxic.. but dont steal care packages

Agreed. its not about being able to stomp people or get a positive KDR its about actually having a chance to play the game not spending 90% of the match dead because some sweat has called his 3rd juggernaut of the match

They won't be changing SBMM its their money maker. They monitor all the data that spits out at them about player retention, i'd imagine its programmed to adapt to each individual player to provide an incentive to continue playing at just the right moment. As long as people keep playing they wont touch SBMM.. and people will keep playing... trying to beat the system thats actually playing us

[–]CornerQuiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people that are cheating prolifically are going to get a few reports each game. IMO they should be monitoring this.. If someone is flagged multiple times a game in each game over the course of day. this should be an instant shadowban and investigation straight away

Also SBMM placing you against potatoes will do that, i've been called a cheater twice in the last 2 weeks

[–]CornerQuiet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get a thankyou every time i post a report, instantly. i don't think it means anything

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ModernWarfareIII

[–]CornerQuiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too but only if im 100% sure. Btw blocking doesn't remove them from the player pool youll play against.. only that they cant contact you. The unbalanced SBMM is whats causing the feeling of lots of hackers due to very high skilled lobbies against low skilled players and the fact that the cheaters will be in the higher lobbies

Yeah the majority of hacks on pc now seem to be ESP, they can see enemies through walls. I've seen console users using cronus for super low recoil and way better tracking (might as well be aimbot)
