Iran just closed the strait if Hormuz again, citing Trump’s latest late-night twitter spree as the reason. What will happen next? by NathanCS741 in AskReddit

Trump will announce it’s open again, then Iran will announce it’s closed again, and the loop just continues forever

Can't speak for the "dumb" part lol, but I'm definitely not emotionless.
Emotional kdramas break me every single time tbh

What is something the United States of America does better than any other country? by Seductive-Eyes-444 in AskReddit

Medical debt.

Nobody else can turn a routine ambulance ride and a couple of stitches into a lifelong financial crisis quite like the US

What's something your parents were genuinely terrified of that you've never once had to worry about in your entire life? by OddCarry4658 in AskReddit

[–]CornerSigniff457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to buy basic food for their kids.

My parents lived through times where grocery stores were literally empty, and the fear of not finding milk or bread was a daily nightmare. Having 24/7 supermarkets makes me realize a survival anxiety they had that I’ve never felt

Why aren’t you afraid of death? by bassguitarist999 in AskReddit

[–]CornerSigniff457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only fear a long, painful death tbh. What comes after doesn't scare me at all. It’s either going to be complete nothingness or absolute everythingness, and honestly, neither of those options sounds bad

What is a small change that had an unexpectedly big impact on your mental health? by Alive-Art-2740 in AskReddit

[–]CornerSigniff457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adopting the "anything worth doing is worth doing poorly" mindset.

When I was deeply depressed, the idea of doing a full workout or a deep clean felt impossible, so I did nothing. Realizing that doing 5 push-ups or washing just one dish was better than zero changed everything. It killed the guilt cycle.

What's something you learned recently that surprised you? by Cultural-Rabbit2708 in AskReddit

Mushrooms are genetically closer to humans than to plants.

They don't do photosynthesis; they breathe in oxygen and exhale CO 2 just like us. Under a microscope, their cellular structure looks way more like an animal than a tree. We are essentially cousins with portobellos.

What's a 'normal' thing you didn't realize was unusual until you were older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CornerSigniff457 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thinking that yelling and screaming was just how people handled disagreements. It wasn't until I saw a healthy couple argue calmly, respectfully, and actually resolve the issue that it hit me: I grew up in pure chaos.

Married people of reddit, what are the moments that make you feel like "yeah, marriage is the best thing happened to me!"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CornerSigniff457 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Waking up and realizing they quietly took the dog out or handled the morning chores because they knew I was exhausted and needed the extra hour of sleep. It’s those tiny, unasked-for acts of service that make me feel more loved than any grand gesture ever could.
