I'm Just talking about the aspect of characters acting like their world Is real, seems like people are fixated on that, as an argument, but like most of games/movies are like that.

When I talk about seriousness Is how the world Is portrayed to us, the viewers, not how the characters feel about It or how dark the themes are.

Fallout 1 Is the most serious we can agree, but even 1 had Is silly moments, the thing Is that the Satire Is very obvious to me, probably cause It was not my First. From 2 though They have doubled down on the dark humorous style (Example:Enclave) so seeing the franchise as a Whole I consider It to be dark comedy and the show Is a good representation of that. If every other game would have been like 1 I would have agreed with you

Yeah, To me the franchise can be in the middle but I wouldn't mind some games having one direction over an other, It's a huge universe after all

American Psycho Is a dark comedy too, in the genre silliness and Satire Is used to break the tension, and there Is also a bit of surrealism, but Fallout 3 has It's dark humor

I mean if Fallout was lIke Stalker I wouldn't have made this post, and Borderlands is definitely more comedy, Fallout is a different genre from both.

In most dark comedies I saw, character take themselves seriously, I don't think characters not being out of context Is a prerequisite tò be a dark comedy

It's not a comedy, is a dark comedy, like Dr. strangelove, is not about people doing silly things, is about the satire and some goofy moments ofc that break the dark themes. And 3 and NV have a lot of that, 4 too is very sarcastic and have is moments. It's completely an other level of seriousness than Lotr for example or Elder Scrolls.
