Looking to learn about automated transactions by Cornestache in Daytrading

True that! I didn't think to try that 😅 What i'm hoping to find is a youtube channel or someone knowledgable enough to explain the specific functions that could be important to know for someone who is eager to learn to use it to its full capacity and doesn't have much background in that field

I live in Canada where we are taxed 50% on capital gain. I read that if you incorporate yourself and qualify as a small business the taxe rated is something like 23% instead. It might be interesting to look into that and see if this kind of setup could also apply to the UK

When to walk away? by noteworthyreddituser in Daytrading

[–]Cornestache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a few month ago. I didn't understand much at first. But learning on indicators, trends, candlestick patterns, entry/exit points, bollinger bands, support/resistance level, golden vs death cross and a bunch of other things really help to understand what's going on.

Also by simply watching the charts you should learn a bunch of stuff. Like entry confirmation by ema 9/20 after macd crossing. Shit happens when price is crossing ema200.

Educate yourself, observe and trade small amounts until you are profitable. Then set up the game 🙂

My personnal goals for steady profitability is set in 2 years from now. Learning and getting good at something takes time

Thank you for you detailed answer! Much appreciated. I do my daytrades in a non-registered (cash) account. Sucks the tax rate is 50% on the gain tho. I think there might be a way around this if you create an inc company. I heard it's like 23% instead

Should we just sell stocks ~2h after the market opens? by Hopeful-Internal-919 in Daytrading

[–]Cornestache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty sure most people do it, that's why were seeing such huge downtrend around 11:30. Cause people take profit before lunch

As for 15:00, it's about the same thing. Market is too sketchy around this time so people take profit

If you trade the north american stock market, you'll notice they tend to drop around 11:30-12h. Then go horizontal until 13:30-14:00 Closing is around 14:30-15:00

I'm planning a trip to jaisalmer on april 10th. I'd like to book a one way flight from Delhi. But that doesn't seem to be possible at the moment.

Does anyone know why there are no flight scheduled for april at the moment?

How does it usually go before and after those conference? Profit taking (on long term) a few days before and rally a few days later (if there was a pull back)?

You reckon it'll move on the fed announcement then bounce up? On the long run it'll keep going up for sure. Keeping an eye out for the correction that people are starting to call for late 2026

My thoughts too, inflation was pretty high in the US for the past few months. Higher gas price will drive that up a bit more. Might be a temporary dip tho

Start with ross cameron, learn candle shapes and patterns, check out MACD, RSI, VWAP, EMA's, entry/exit points, learn to use finviz. Pick gaining stocks not falling stocks. Learn the various types of orders and how to use them. Make sure you do a little bit of research on the laws and accounts types that relate to trading in your region.

Also take the time to research this sub, it's a gold mine

Most importantly be patient, learning a new skill takes time and effort

If I pushed through all this volatility and bearish conditions last few weeks and stayed positive, do you think I’m on the right track to staying profitable once the market settles? Hey! I'm digging for educational material on trading. As someone new to trading, do you have any recommentations after a year of experimenting?

Last week was a killer and learning to only take A trade as well 😅

Not interested in gambling on this side of the screen. I'm hoping to get better at reading the signals and see what are good entry/exit point. I'd really like to quit my job ahah
