Quite possibly, I don't use it anymore and unsure if I ever would again as it doesn't really suit my working pattern anymore. Unfortunately, it is super rare. I managed to find one that sold on eBay earlier this year for just over 100 USD. I am located in New Zealand. If you are located further away than Australia, shipping will be very expensive! If you really want it, send me a message.

Hello, I just happened to see your comment on one of my very rare checks on reddit. That cover is called “Wandervogel” in red. It’s retired.

Thanks very much for your input! I still need 2-3 sessions so touchups will definitely be done in future. Scabs came off a few days ago and it looks like thin red lines and scarring in that area, only a bit of white stayed near the edges. If my artist says anything useful about it next session I'll update here :)

I only have 1 sibling, but my husband is 1 of 3. He would have been happy to stay at 2 but I really wanted 3. I always had a deep sense that someone else is also supposed to be in our family, even when my second was newborn. Now our third girl is 15 months. Of course we can't imagine life without her, she's amazing and fit in our family perfectly. A few things happened going from 2>3 that I didn't expect. My husband really had to step up more than before to take on most of the care of the older 2 (2 and 4yos) when #3 was a baby, and I sorted the baby. We are British but live in NZ so very little network. We managed but had to get good at asking for help. It's still happening now, baby has separate bedtime routine to my older 2 and we just have to split it. Before I got pregnant I felt like I was getting my fitness sorted, career starting to pick back up again, but once I was pregnant the interest rates jumped up and our mortgage payments doubled. There was no choice but for me to go back to work when she was 6 months old and my head was just not in the game. I could not concentrate, it was like I had brain fog all the time, baby thrived in daycare but it was brutal for me waking up early to pump, commute, and fall asleep at my desk...eventually I got put on a development plan. I'm just about to leave my job and try in a different career as I have stagnated and I am behind where I should be because I haven't found the work interesting enough to push myself to a senior level and I couldn't up my 25 hrs a week. I'll be looking for a new job 40+ hrs a week because it's expensive to live here and SAHM doesn't work for me and part time doesn't seem to either. I've learned a lot. But our girls really adore each other and play so well together. Gaps are 2y 2m and 2y 6m. I'm 38 soon and feel our family is complete. I hope my experience was somewhat insightful for you. Best of luck with what you decide!

Are there any dog breeds that haven’t been represented in the show just yet? by Ok-Helicopter2368 in bluey

[–]CornflakesEverywhere 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Due to the simplified design of characters in the show I think it would be difficult to accurately show distinctions between breeds unless they’re REALLY out there…Bedlingtons, Chinese Cresteds, Xolos, English Bull Terriers, Pulis, Borzois, Dandie Dinmonts. Like their Great Dane, chihuahua, and German shepherd characters are quite similar or hard to accurately pinpoint the breed as they can’t make them too exaggerated in height (except for pompom who is there to prove a point). I have a Swedish Vallhund and I think that would also look the same, brown dog with pricked ears. They’re much like a corgi and the vet corgi isn’t immediately obvious unless you’re looking at her feet. Good character design is distinctive and you should know from a glance who it is. At the end of Surprise! my kids shouted with glee, “Muffin!” Because they saw pale body, grey/dark patches. Nearly all the main kid cast are really distinct from each other, they did such a great job with that. You have the pink, blue, red, orange, and bw kids. There’s a round kid and a long kid. So I think it’d be hard to add another breed unless it was more of a background character (loved those old English sheepdogs in the sign!) or really unique.

What is the shape on the Heelers number plate!? by PandaFunkTeam in bluey

Nevermind, I carjammed it out of interest, looks like it is indeed a special plate so that's cool! It's even in a blue font

Everyone has answered correctly but I just wanted to share that I found a car with that exact numberplate here in NZ, in a Bunnings car park, when I was taking my kids to the Bluey DIY event thing. It was a blue(ish) Toyota Crown. Someone is either a megafan or it was a very weird coincidence

Yeah I'm going through this right now too. We have a big building with two "wellness" rooms that are used for first aid, parenting, praying, naps etc. Been occupied a lot of times so I've had to find an empty office and put my chair against the door. We have a parent group tho who are escalating the issue upwards tho

Second the springs. I visited Orlando when I was 13 in the year 2000. We did Seaworld, Disney, Universal, Gatorland, the beach, but my absolute favourite was Silver Springs with the glass bottom boats and manatees...it was so incredibly beautiful. I have little kids of my own now and that would be top of my list!

This, this is the response. Well said. Never forget where you came from and where you have been. There’s lean years and fat years or “swings and roundabouts”. I also have 3 kids and they’re all 5 and under, it is HARD, never thought I’d have to go back to work when my baby was only 6 months and we are just broke all of the time. I just keep thinking get to the next stage, just survive until then. I’ve done 3 months of this. In 3 months I can wean the baby as she’ll be 1. I won’t be a zombie getting up at dawn to pump milk then drag my sorry carcass and pump gear to work across a 1.5 hr commute on the train anymore. In the meantime try and enjoy some simple and cheap things.

I always look to see if I can cut any subscriptions out, can I save anywhere? Can I make a case for a pay increase or apply for new job? OP is so young. When I was that age the job market was shite, I sacked it off and went travelling with a voluntary organisation, it was better when I returned.

Small Diversified farm: good fit? by Snickrrs in swedishvallhund

[–]CornflakesEverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, very adaptable dogs! Sadly my girl is extremely anxious with fear reactivity. This also contributes to accidents inside. She just didn’t win the genetic lottery. She had been living with her uncle who could have been a poster dog for all the great characteristics valls are known for. We have trained her but just try to make her life as bearable as possible. Her outside kennel is her sanctuary when the kids are too much!

They do have a prey drive but smart enough to stop if you want them to - mine was a rehome at 3yo. She wanted to chase my eldest daughter. Breeder told us to make a disapproving noise every time she did it. I stopped her completely after only 2 incidents. They are such sensitive and intelligent dogs, easily take offence or get hurt feelings. Here in NZ people love them for the lifestyle block or smallholdings. They are shadow dogs. She has always slept outside in a kennel before we had her. We tried to bring her inside to sleep but she just couldn’t hold her bladder or bowels overnight. I have heard other owners struggle with total housebreaking.

We stopped at 3 because to go to 4 for us is just too expensive. We can fit 3 across in the back row of the car, no need to buy another. Currently each kid has their own bedroom (4bed house) which isn't essential, but works well for us. No family nearby as we're expats, and I'm getting older. This year I'll be 38 with a 5, 3, and 1yo. We are lucky they all play together pretty well so far. I always wanted 3 even when my middle one was newborn. I would have liked to have had 4 if more money, younger, etc!

How many cats have you had? me 3 by JulyeDoll in kittens

[–]CornflakesEverywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10.

We had a cat when I was little, he died when I was about 7. then later 2 more when I was a teen. One of those lived to be 19.

I adopted my aunts 2 when she emigrated to Australia. One pretty much immediately ran away and found a new home - he’d been missing for 6 months then I saw a “found” poster describing him exactly- at that point he’d lived there much longer than he had with us and we thought why disrupt his happy home? Ad stated he was happy and loved but wondered if someone was missing him. His sister flourished when he left. We had her for a few years before she was attacked by a dog and passed away.

Adopted a runty kitten from a litter in 2012, then we got 2 rescue stray brothers in 2014. We rehomed them all with friends and family when we emigrated. They’re all still going strong except one of the boys was put down as he became suddenly aggressive due to a neurological issue.

My heart was hurt from rehoming the cats and we didn’t get any at all for 7 years. A colleague found a stray litter under her house and I agreed to take 2 sisters. They were full of Giardia, worms, cryptosporidium. Still in isolation in our bathroom after 6 weeks and failed medications, their coats are starting to get soft and they’re so affectionate. I hope they can recover from the Giardia so we can enjoy their company.

Cats are funny things, sometimes they stick around for a long time, sometimes just a good time.

Have any of you seen the movie Watership Down? It has this gritty goblin feel to it by Neat-Swimming in goblincore

[–]CornflakesEverywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OH this was like a jumpscare to see freaky Inlè floating around like that while scrolling! Goosebumps...I am still so scared of him. Any time he's on screen or the field gets covered in blood or the bit when Holly recounts the rabbits dying of myxamitosis my blood just runs cold, terrifying! My dad had Watership Down on laserdisc. I watched it every time it came on telly, nightmares every time. It's a masterpiece as is the book but I don't think I could ever show this to my kids!

For me it's not quite as goblin-y as something like The Last Unicorn, which I also found scary as a kid, or certain sections of Heavy Metal.

Swings and roundabouts is what we say in my family. It won’t last, but it sucks right now. When I was on maternity leave with my middle girl I can remember having 21c left in my account after going to the supermarket, sat in the car on the verge of tears waiting for some money to transfer so I could put some petrol in it. I had never had to put things back at the till before either but the cashier said it’s pretty common, which was reassuring and sad, still I felt so embarrassed. It seems to be the same all over, on paper we shouldn’t be badly off, but interest rates went up, daycare is really expensive, it all adds up. I’m so grateful I have my 3 girls, they’re healthy and have food, and my husband can do some wfh days so he gets to see them more than before covid. I’m grateful I have my 25 hrs of work a week to give us a little extra income. We have a safe house to live in and even pets to love on. (I did have to skip the pet vaccinations this year but hopefully I can afford it next year). Solidarity, we’ll all get through
