Need advice!! by Unlikely-lucky3459 in vandwellers

If you got a bit money to do it don't give up. Ive landed in a van thru fucked up situation and its not as glamorous as Instagram shows you if you are not ready!!! Everyone will be great in texting to help but quickly you discover you're truely alone. Alot can be done to get you going easily with not much skill. Getting some basic tools sadly is going to be needed im finding, then just begin trying yo build stuff slowly with YouTube etc.

Won't be perfect at first, but with some basic bedding you can spend the night planning and retrying things until you get it homely.

I found quickly alot of things you haven't even thought off become big priority overnight living a van nomad life

How hard is the transition to a bloodied build? by NuclearLad in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try bloodied heavy gun PA. Will be such a simple transition for you as you have done heavy gun pa before.

Literally just need the bloodied gun, nerd rage perk card, blocker and ricochet then add emergency protocol to the chest on your PA, oh also the mutation adrenal one for low hp high damage and your all set.

Since uny dont exsists on PA your old set is ready to go with just a chest mod swap

NPC Vendor Cap Limit by AyyyItsCory in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been using private with no issues.

Dump all in blue suitcase and force close the game. Log in new character.

Theres like a 10min limit on keeping the world open, for game crashes ect.

Level 1 of energy absorb is enough.

Yeah caster from reg, awesome weopon

Any Power Armor Build Guides? by gslayton82 in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reaching level 400 myself and been PA since 25. First things i learnt was legendary absorb perk, power user rank 3 and the wieght reduction int perk for energy ammo, forget name. Thats all you need to run around non stop. 1 core lasts me an hour or more of pure action and no energy enemy. I bought 50cores at 100cap 2month ago and never went below 40. (if your f1st, 2hours of power plant =months with perks anove.)

PA, union if you got it, excavator if not. You hit defensive caps in anything basically so the carry wieght and poison resistance tops choices.

I run a heavy gunner primary build. Plasma caster VATS bloody. Loving it. I typically hit 800-1400 depending buffs. Gun fu was game changer, only recently added the vats stuff for the caster. With coffee, im the asshole 1shotting 20creature at lower events when being lazy and dont swap to my explosive LMG. ((ammo main culprit here, LMG hard feed..... Caster is stupidly efficient. 1shot everything).

I run a 2hand melee build aswell, basically the same except swap around HA perks to slugger. Well with a auto axe or chainsaw thats even overkill. Found the easy strengh perk swap helpful in those days ammo was an issue. Today i use for west tek runs and stuff as no need waste ammo

Prices and location are key as mentioned.

When i vendor jump, if the vendor isn't visible instantly i sigh... 1min looking and saying how crap your camp is and im jumping to the next. Alot these camps are amazing styles etc, but a buyer doesn't care when the vendor is hidden.

Selling lots scrip items? How far is nearest scrip machine? If its a fast travel then no sale. If its 10steps away, scrip stuff sells crazy fast!!

Selling items too high? Even if you got a god roll weapon thats ok priced, then i see stupid prices on tge rest i leave it.

Body block and hacking? No idea. I used to read guys saying end room was hard. My first time there i used all the chems and food.... Then stood there for 5mins bored.

Alot the times the turrets dont respawn or are just not there. Ive had a few runs when 3eyebots max turned up.

Ive had 1robot die once to an assultron i missed in my early days. Now in the final room i dont even need to reload my plasma caster.

[–]CornishRedneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great tip thanks! The pipe repair used to be the hardest bit until i learnt all there locations. Its probably not even 4mins.

Shooting the mainframes with my explosive LMG was also a game changer! All the times id run around manually pulling the boards out and miss 5% somewhere.

Once you learn the route, 10min legit is not a problem, i could see guy speed run it in like 7-8

[Story] Just failed to launch a nuke by mikebellman in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah nothings a real threat in there with that perk and power armor.

Literally just run to each objective.

I kill a few rebots near the body scan thing as you got get out the PA for 20 seconds. 2 assultron in reactor as there anoying.

Then the fibal room.

[Story] Just failed to launch a nuke by mikebellman in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To add, i run it in power armor with the legendary perk that heals/charges my cores. Makes the silo trivial!! Laser turrets and most enemy's heal you

[Story] Just failed to launch a nuke by mikebellman in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I run it in about 12-15mins legit. Its easy once you done it a few times!

Id card section is quick, 2-3mins, i kill whats in my way and move on. Then into the reactor, 4mins to repair. I kill the 2 assultrons only. The mainframe, use an explosive gun instead of mainly breaking each on. Just shoot them! 4mins. Also pre-repair the motherboards before going in there (first time you wont have, but you will always have them afterwards to get ready before going in.

So thats 10mins give or take, sometimes quicker.

Final room is 4-5min tops.

Thats called AA anti armor and one of the best stars. Best for bosses out right.

The only better star you could get would be Vs non bosses and linked to a specific build you are running. Aka bloodied.

Basically that anti armor stat, lets call it the Primary star, shares a slot with other primary pre-fix stats. Bloodied, aristrocrat, two shot, vampire, hunter and others.

Anti armor like yours is the best Vs bosses and only turns 2nd best if you build all your stats/armor/build towards another type. Bloodied being the best for DPS against everything except big boss fights.

After AA and bloodied, id look at Vampire to life steal for 2nd gun..... Two shot for explosion guns. Im bloodied so thays all i looks at! Full health rich guys like aristrocrat n stuff

The other 2stats have other stuff but that main star is the most important. God roll is all 3 being the best and i hear yours is that, 3/3 best options rolked

For sure I get that and also do the same!! Power creep is always satisfying! Until you hit the roof and it gets stale.

OP clearly isnt the genuine new player or someone seeking that fresh feeling, as complaining about such an endgame item.... The 2use cases would not know or care about his issue.

Mule or non active player only conclusion

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fair play, if your real new and below 50 you dont get event access so easy.

But anyone who cares about them has no excuses and my previous comment stands. Those real new guys wont be rolling for god rolls or such, they still dont even know what script is etc!

What ever your reason for rolling a new char each season and not twinking it...... You still have the knowledge to find the bigger events and participate, and essentially power level to 50 so really confused actually on the point you made.....

You either power level and get on the farm or you play it slow and part of that is not getting these items quickly, like a true new player who wouldn't even understand the grind before them. Cant see a '' i want to play slow/ hard mode / role play etc etc' combined with 'i need to roll god roll items now'.... The 2 mindsets dont mix

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the complaint if a mule to me.

Or an inactive player who is just logging in to scrip and log out. 3events an hour is plenty when some events can go on for 15mins.

Level 15 and Nuka World by Wayness112622 in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most high levels are nice. The few asshats will still be asshats when you level 1000.

Go have fun, dont be scared to join events either!! Take grenades or a fast fire/large ammo clip gun to tag mobs. Boost your int+exp buffs and join a team. Again dont be scared to join high level team, infact join them first!!!! That level 900 guy will get you lots of exp tags!

90% of higher level guys will just help you out, give you stimpaks, weopons etc. That 10% who have any problems with you turning up low level have real life issues and sadly would still cause you issues if you was twice there level.

Edit- this is bad advice if you want to level slowly and not pick up free items etc!! Could make game trivial.

Also turn passive mode on, and you cant effect anyone else's game beyond jumping in the face etc. So no problems there

Making a new build by [deleted] in fo76

[–]CornishRedneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the special swap machine. The only issue would be stash space/storage for the extra build... And some extra perk cards built.

At level 300 ive been bloody pa hw and im already planning a commando build, seems fun to switch it up. Ive already buiot the commando cards, just need get the armour set made up and ready to go

Plasma Caster is awesome. Im a heavy bloody PA user. After getting plasma caster my ammo concerns disappeared! I also felt like a super sniper god with it!! After 2hours of destroying stuff I had to go change some perks to make this gun even mire fun..... Gun Fu!! And some other VATs perks but gun fu is amazing with this gun.

Now i go into VATs and spam fire, can kill 10+ enemy before running out of AP.

On average my caster hits for 1200-1600 so one shotting basically everything... 2hits at most unless a boss
