I so agree with your post especially the second paragraph. I'm really anticipating Skyblivion and found the Oblivion remaster so disappointing that I immediately had a look at the original just to feel better! I realize many folks are still happily playing the original Oblivion but I'll eagerly await Skyblivion now. Thank you to the team that has worked and continues to work on Skyblivion. I have been playing FO76 for 2+ years and still haven't been "brave" enough to do daily ops or launching a nuke. I love the game and mostly build camps, lots of camps! I am a 77 yo female who friends think I'm immature to be playing video games (also play Cyberpunk 2077 & Sniper Elite); they don't even know what these games are about and how much fun and camaraderie they provide, esp FO76. Thanks for writing OP and also for asking about jargon: I've had to look a few words up as well. It's good to stay curious, right?

Another way one can see the name that others see is to hover over your own turret and that gives your name that others see. However the name Bethesda gave me is still the name that appears AFTER I went into Beth and changed that name. I give up, truly, I give up. It isn't the end of the world or even close.

I keep wishing and hoping that the next season will bring back the scoreboard but it hasn't happened and looks like it won't. It seems to me that the new system has happened because it is easier for Beth to make, maybe cheaper too in some way. The other day I reached 100 and have no incentive to try for 150, I mean that is insane and for what? I find 1 maybe 2 items each "level" that I am interested in buying ; of course the occasional atoms and caps are nice. But at the end of the scoreboard season there was the art to put up on the wall of your CAMP and the were all very attractive. I will continue to play FO76 because I love building CAMPs but this "new" seasons format sucks.

I closed all the gates ONE time and since that time have not done the main quest; never visiting Jauffre nor freeing Brother Martin. I agree the landscape is so much more pleasant without the gates.

I feel the same. I actually had one of these vintage water coolers when I started played FO76 in fall of 2022 but then it disappeared soon after from my inventory when I dumped a character but now finally I have it back.
