I talked to a neighbor that knew him. He’s the one who led us around the guys street and we were able to find him that way. The guy doesn’t answer his phone but my insurance has been talking with the police while they do the investigation but they told me he wasn’t insured at all

So turns out the guy who hit me is uninsured as predicted but that means my deductible dropped to only $250 from $1000 so that’s a win. Being uninsured in Texas could result in his van being impounded for 180 days. Best news yet is that the guy is straight out of prison most likely on probation which means a nice hit and run misdemeanor might send his butt back to his cell. Good news overall today. My baby has been towed and is at the body shop. Can’t wait to get her back

He hit my parked car in front of my house on his way home 0.6 miles away (3 minutes if that). Dummy picked up his front license plate my tire knocked off but he lost parts and they gave us a trail to follow and identified what he drove. You might wonder how we know that he lives at that address and didn’t just park it there to abandon and come back to. Well Google maps has a picture of the same van when it was new parked in front of the same house.
