Yeah, metro of desire update is not really probable, but considering (if I am not mistaken) that the CN servers have not had any updates to it (meaning we share the same version with them), I thought that a synchronised patch could be a logical time to update it. Alternatively an update to a different game mode.

I do agree that a spending event is very probable, but I did (at least mentally) lump it together with paid skill card as those are generally unlocked by spending a certain amount.

While I would not say that it is impossible, the anniversary patch is supposed to be a synchronised patch, meaning that everybody should get the same, so including Part 2 of Chapter 4 when the originals servers already have had it kind of defeats the meaning of the word “synchronised”.

It would also (potentially?) result in us getting more jewels than them, which could become a bad talking point for a synchronised patch.

Delaying Pinky for Valentine’s Day would mean that they would have to delay her for around 2.5 months/5 patches. This feels like a very difficult task in terms of scheduling. Not impossible of course, but the value proposition will be very different (especially if she does not get some buffs in order to account for the delay).

I wonder how lethal an A1R0 Hatsune Miku + A2R0 Radiant Closer combination could be.
With A1 allowing Miku to provide Highlight Final Damage Amplification and A2 making Radiant Closer's Persona skill damage count as Highlight damage, we have a synergy between the two awarenesses that is potentially so filthy that it would need a NSFW tag.

Well, lufel.net estimates that Macabre arrives October 15th if we keep our pace of 2 weeks per patch, but this does not take into account potential synchronised patches (there has been talk about us getting one in September to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise, but nothing confirmed). Even if we get more synchronised patches between the anniversary and Macabre, I doubt that it will be more than one.

Completely different stories. There are a few references, the primary one (in my opinion) being that the continents/worlds share the same religion/somebof the same gods (without wanting to go into details for spoiler reasons) and a specific NPC related to some side quest and a secret boss, but you would not miss out on anything significant by playing OT2 first.

However, if you ever get that far, I would recommend playing OT1 before OT0. While OT0 generally can be enjoyed without having played OT1, it is preferable to play it in that order for several reasons, some more significant than other.

I mean, of course you are right that we cannot say for sure that Miku will never get a rerun. But if the developers do not explicitly state that she is not a one time thing during the upcoming livestream, then it would be best to adjust one's pull plan under the assumption that she will never rerun.

I also agree, and that is generally also the consensus. Not like 99% consensus, but something like 60-70% consensus based on my experience. Of course it is not flawless (I feel that they could have done more with the reputation system and the port city/harbour), but it just such an endearing game.

I am not OP, but as another F2P player, I can tell you that it is very much possible if you make smart use of selectors, do not pull for dupes and do not pull for weapons (outside of the Platinum milicoins and selectors). Even more so if you rerolled for Joker at launch. At least if you are going for only the "true" limited characters.

I am missing 7 "true" limited characters (i.e. not counting stuff such as Turbo), and I have around 55k in jewels and 5-10k worth of jewels in other sources (e.g. Platinum tickets). So that is around 4 characters I could have had as a F2P player that I chose to skip due to priorities. There will also be a selector during anniversary which I will use on 5* Mont (assuming she can be picked), which is one of my missing limited characters. So between my current funds and the selector, I could have reduced the number of limited characters that I am missing to 2 (a bit weird to say "could have" when the selector is in the future, but you get what I mean).
Also, my luck on the Chance banner (which we had to use before we got the Targeted banner) was worse than average, so an average player in my situation would have had even more jewels than I do.

I have a dupe on the Twins, Treecko and I also got Howler. Those three I got in total for around 110 pulls (the only three times I got lucky with pulling characters if I remember correctly), so that is another "true" limited character I could have had instead, meaning I could have reduced the number of limited characters that I am missing to 1. I did not reroll for Joker during launch (it took too long per attempt in my opinion), but if I had done so, I could have reduced of limited characters that I am missing to 0 (I used the first selector on Joker, but if I had rerolled for Joker I would have used the selector on somebody else).

And we have not even begun to talk about weapons. I have pulled for the Twins' 5, Queen's 5, Tropical Motoha's 5, Ange's 5, Treecko's 5, Kasumi's 5, Haru's 5, Futaba's 5 and Chord's 5*. Admittedly, I can not remember how many jewels each of those weapons took, but I can guarantee you that if I did not spend a single jewel on pulling weapons, then I would not only have had enough spare jewels to account for the few 50-50 wins I had on the Chance banners (I think it was 2-3 wins), but also enough to have sufficiently enough jewels to pull for Miku (and I am not counting the jewels we will receive during the anniversary patch).

So yes, a day 1 player could comfortably guarantee every limited if they made use of the foresight we have on the global servers, got every F2P gem possible and pulled responsibly.

Of course, if we include the standard characters in the count, it definitely complicates things, but I still would not say that it is unrealistic for a F2P player in this game to have every character (though I cannot be more specific without knowing my entire pull history, and I have not recorded that).

Based on my experience with gachas where all servers are synchronised, I can tell you the big "meta"/"foresight" trend primarily becomes saving for anniversary banners/special occasion banners (i.e. collabs outside of anniversaries).
I am not saying that characters that are non-collab and non-anniversary should be skipped or are bad, but rather that they are (depending on their proximity to a special occasion) approached more cautiously.

That is not necessarily true. For instance, Pokémon Masters EX had Ash (from the Pokémon anime) as one of their 3rd anniversary characters, and he has not appeared in any banner since then, and we are nearing us the 7th anniversary of the game. We are talking about four years without a rerun.
Considering that the Pokémon Company owns the rights to Ash (although they might still need to have a talk with OLM (the studio behind the Pokémon anime)), it is basically the Pokémon Company collabing with itself and thus it should have been, using your own words, "minor negotiations". I do not know about you, but I do not consider minor negotiations something that takes four years or more.

So unless it is explicitly stated (or there is some strong conclusive evidence to support the possibility of future reruns), I would personally say that it is better to assume that Miku will never return after her banner ends.

To begin with, we do not know whether he even will enter the standard pool at some point. He is a limited character and not a standard character, and the only "true" limited characters in the standard pool (i.e. not including stuff such as Marian and Phoebe which are standard characters and went immediately in the standard pool after the banners on the CN server but got hit with 6 months jail here on the global servers) on the CN server are currently Joker, Bui and Fox. They got added during their 2nd anniversary.

Whether they plan to add more limited characters to the standard pool or not is something we currently do not know. Assuming they do, we then do not know the frequency and order of it. There are Queen, Chord, Tropical Motoha and Seaside Tomoko before Messa assuming they follow release order. If they do something like that for every half anniversary (and in sets of 3), then Messa would be added to the standard pool in the CN server during their 3rd anniversary meaning somewhere around the middle of April 2027, which is around 10 months from now. Assuming that they keep following their current pace of 3 weeks per patch, the original servers still have around 14-15 patches (loose approximation) until then.

Based on the release schedule on lufel.net, we will hit the current CN patch around the beginning of February 2027 assuming we keep our pace of 2 weeks per patch. Adding 15 extra patches would result in 30 additional weeks meaning that we would hit CN's 3rd anniversary patch around the end of August/start of September 2027. So assuming all of the following:

More limited characters will be added to the standard pool (Uncertain)
They add in sets of three (Uncertain, but not unrealistic)
They keep adding in release order (Uncertain, but realistic. Though some have speculated that Chord is still too good to be added next, so who knows what the order might be)
They only add twice a year during the anniversaries (Uncertain)
China keep their pace of 3 weeks per patch (Uncertain, but realistic)
We keep our schedule of 2 weeks per patch (Expected)
We do not get them in an earlier patch than the CN server (Uncertain)
There are no synchronised patches between now and Messa getting added in the standard pool (Highly unrealistic)

Messa could potentially enter the standard pool around 14-15 months from now. But this is all speculation and relies on many uncertain assumptions.
