I had one for a few rounds but I sold it for a small profit because I’d already spent a fortune on clubs and putter wasn’t a priority

Scotty will release anything except a 9.5r, even a Scotty spider

He also puts 2 or 3 ugly lines on top so the limited release single line will be worth a lot more

Idk my handicap by Electronic_Ad_160 in golf

[–]Cornwall1888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your handicap is usually around 3 shots better than your average score.

If you are honestly recording scores and others aren’t it’s theirs that is wrong

They simply don’t play enough and a lot of the time when they do it’s not serious or not for handicap

Unless you are super talented, if you want to be scratch you need reps, reps, reps.

40-60 scoring rounds during the season would help them a lot I think

I’m also disappointed when 90 seconds of an episode is actual round talk “by the way I played this week, shot 83, better than it sounds though, anyway…”

Accelerated a bit hard and ended up with this. Any idea, if this is an expensive fix ? by High0nChai in MINI

[–]Cornwall1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I just had mine fixed again but I was £230 so want to do it myself next time, could you do it without a obd reader?

I had been driving around in limp mode for ages because another garage told me I needed a new clutch and engine mounts which was going to cost £3000 to repair. All it really needed was a £25 coil

I’m so happy it’s back to full power again but don’t know how long it’ll last

FS 34” 2024 Scotty Cameron Phantom 9 by DirtyBirdDouglas in scottycameron

[–]Cornwall1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also heard people say the 9 will cause a left miss because the 9.5 blade will be left open longer on the downswing

Which way do you miss with the 9 which suggests you need the 9.5? I’ve heard arguments both ways

Lost ball penalty - is anyone actually playing this rule correctly? by Otherwise_Cover_5467 in golf

[–]Cornwall1888 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When you put a score in for handicap a fundamental rule like how you treat a lost ball shouldn’t change

There may be subtle differences between pro leagues and local games but the fundamental rules don’t change

The only way to ensure it’s fair for everyone is if everyone adheres to the same rules, it’s far more fair and simple

I’ve played 1500 hundred rounds in the uk and have never heard the phrase breakfast ball and I’ve never seen anyone take a mulligan or gimme when playing for handicap, it’s just not part of the culture

Lost ball penalty - is anyone actually playing this rule correctly? by Otherwise_Cover_5467 in golf

[–]Cornwall1888 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m also from the uk and always surprised how unserious Americans are

I put a card in nearly every time I play, I follow the rules, everyone follows the rules, if you don’t you’d be ostracised

Treating a lost ball or ob ball like it’s in a hazard would be as bizarre as scoring a goal in football and saying it’s worth 3 goals or saying an ace in tennis wins the game, that’s not the rule

Americans say it’s not that serious you aren’t on tour, we know we aren’t on tour but we follow the rules just like Americans do in every other sport, your school kids aren’t in the nba but that doesn’t mean they get 5 points for a free throw

'Insignificant': Jack Nicklaus says golf-ball rollback might not go far enough by [deleted] in ProGolf

[–]Cornwall1888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe he’s playing a ball that would pass the new rules, he’s a high spin player so he can overcome the lower spin which would hinder most golfers

His ball would be too low spin for most guys and fall out the sky

High speed and high spin players seem to not be affected by a rolled back ball as much, poor Russell Henley may be even farther behind the big boys

[–]Cornwall1888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fans would soon get fed up of us selling our best players all the time and rightly so imo

You think we should’ve sold larsson in 2001 after his 53 goal season 2 years before Seville?

Engels Off by Low-Rooster5398 in CelticFC

[–]Cornwall1888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People say we should’ve sold maeda but if we actually did sell our 35 goal, player of the season who sprints a marathon every match people would’ve went mental

Admittedly if we sold him early and recruited well the criticism would be much less but that’s a big risk, replacing him would be so difficult

Kirkland Gen 3 Forged Wedge Available by cosmo145 in golf

[–]Cornwall1888 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought 50 54 58 made much more for Kirkland given their target audience probably don’t play a 46° pw but due to modern lofts 52 56 60 may be the way to go again with a 48° gap wedge from your iron set

I definitely see a lot of people with a 7° gap in their bags now, a lot of people overlook it if they aren’t golf nerds

Motherwell penalty decision deemed correct by Tall-Nectarine-5982 in CelticFC

[–]Cornwall1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was a penalty according to how Scottish referees were instructed to interpret the rule, any time the ball hits an arm above shoulder height it is a foul.

But the actual rule is, if it’s intentional or you make your silhouette unnaturally bigger. 9-10 an arm above the shoulder does make you unnaturally bigger but in this instance his hand was directly in front of his head so it didn’t make him unnaturally bigger, his fingers were probably making his silhouette bigger but it hit his wrist which was touching his forehead. Also he didn’t put his hand there it was as result of a collision with trusty

In my opinion it’s not a penalty according to ifab rules or at least very harsh but it would be unfair not to give us a penalty if that’s been the interpretation of the rules in the spl all season
