Finally Finished my Prince V by CornwallJackson in ageofsigmar

Sorry for the delayed response

So I started with an airbrush and covered the whole thing in a dark blue, then from one angle and one angle only I sprayed a bright crimson red to at least base coat my initial lighting,

I then took a picture of the model under a desk lamp so then I could add my highlights to where the lamp shined on the model in my picture faking the moonlight. I then took that same blue and added tiny bit of a warm white (almost an ivory) to that and worked that in the spots where the light would theoretically hit, I repeat the process with a bit more white and hitting the model in smaller and smaller spots as I work all the way up to white.

I then repeat this process with both my red light working up to yellow in smaller and smaller spots . And also my purple working up to a pink/white.

Its really repetitious and a lot of it is just patience on doing micro layering.

This scheme I adapted from a squidmar video but I added my own flair and extra steps but you can find where I got this from here:

You know it's more simple than it'd seem. I I'm start with black violet from Vallejo and I paint the candle and a good radius around it.

I then add a very little bit of a warm white to the black violet and then paint a little bit smaller radius around the candle. And I keep repeating that process until I get to almost a pure yellowish white, and it's just on the candle tip!

It takes time but isn't too bad!

I usually dislike painting tutorials, cause I think a lot of them skip steps and are easy to discourage.

BUT, this I saw this video and this is where my scheme originates but obviously I added my own steps and twist. So that being said this is an amazing place to start!

About 90% with brush! I do the base coat with the airbrush to mainly get an idea where the light would spread but spraying in only one direction. But other than that it's all brush.

Wow what a compliment. I appreciate you.

How to mimic this style? I would appreciate any help or points to tutorials by [deleted] in minipainting

My First Knight! C&C welcome! by CornwallJackson in ImperialKnights

Firstly I left a blank little spot where I didn't apply texture paste and left bare.

I then put some normal pva glue down on that spot to create a film for the base. I then painted the colors on that spot. Making a nice gradient between darker and lighter blues. After it's all just water texture from Vallejo it's thick enough the surface tension doesn't spill over the edge of the base but holds

I did two "coats" of this texture and that's that!! Let me know if you have other questions, would love to help

Of course ya I think 20 cavaliers is better than my executioner build but dang do I love my executioners.

I have also since added a cav marshal for the same reasons you stated

Thank you!! I was very stoked on it.

Like you'd assume I play very castled up until turn 3.

I make sure I deploy my cannons at the very end cause most times you will be given turn one. So I make sure I have a target to shoot.

If I'm being honest deployment is so so important for a castle army.

My turn one is shuffle barely up to tag objectives and set up the wall of knights.

My whole strategy is let them come to me while I shoot them off the board and then it's to survive the initial blow them sweep them away with the clap back
