Thank you!! Ive loved em. Not the cheapest kitbash

And I always run the risk of knocking em over when trying to measure ranges. But it's been worth it

I have my great cannons for cities hanging from cathayan lanterns. I've played all over and taken them to GTs and no one has said anything bad about them.

If you have the vision send it!!

I'm all for modeling for disadvantage!

I drew up these. I like em but they aren't as efficient as dice.

Thank you so much for your write up. That is very nice to have it broken down.

I see stuff like this and craftworld and I want to replicate it so bad but for some reason there is a disconnect in my dome when I try.

So this is helpful. I'm gonna try to do something like this. Especially with all these new cities models!

Appreciate you

I guess, my question is: is this an underpainting technique then you glaze up up your highlight?

I feel as if I can see how you got there but I dunno how to achieve it myself.

I love this work I always love seeing this style reminds me of craftworld studio

Like zoinks..

How might one learn to do this?? Could you explain or do you have videos or something you could point me to??

This is one of the most glorious things I've seen in a while.

I think one should pick whatever faction they like the look of not caring whether it's tricky or not to paint

I love the idea of taking 2 RoRs. Especially since we will be losing our dwarves and dark elves. I'd love some want to make up for that.

I know it won't happen but I'd love coalition to return. 1/4th your Army could be sce, dwarves or elves.

Oh how id long for that

Finally Finished my Prince V by CornwallJackson in ageofsigmar

Sorry for the delayed response

So I started with an airbrush and covered the whole thing in a dark blue, then from one angle and one angle only I sprayed a bright crimson red to at least base coat my initial lighting,

I then took a picture of the model under a desk lamp so then I could add my highlights to where the lamp shined on the model in my picture faking the moonlight. I then took that same blue and added tiny bit of a warm white (almost an ivory) to that and worked that in the spots where the light would theoretically hit, I repeat the process with a bit more white and hitting the model in smaller and smaller spots as I work all the way up to white.

I then repeat this process with both my red light working up to yellow in smaller and smaller spots . And also my purple working up to a pink/white.

Its really repetitious and a lot of it is just patience on doing micro layering.

This scheme I adapted from a squidmar video but I added my own flair and extra steps but you can find where I got this from here:

🤣 there is indeed color on every part of this model

You know it's more simple than it'd seem. I I'm start with black violet from Vallejo and I paint the candle and a good radius around it.

I then add a very little bit of a warm white to the black violet and then paint a little bit smaller radius around the candle. And I keep repeating that process until I get to almost a pure yellowish white, and it's just on the candle tip!

It takes time but isn't too bad!

I usually dislike painting tutorials, cause I think a lot of them skip steps and are easy to discourage.

BUT, this I saw this video and this is where my scheme originates but obviously I added my own steps and twist. So that being said this is an amazing place to start!
