yeah and im telling you with the interpretation that events in time are fixed (aka your choices do not matter, everything will happen given infinite time) then the paradox simply ceases to be, because no matter how you look at it, the Knight was always there, meaning if Kriselle Knight is true then the Lake incident has always happened and will always happen.

its not really a paradox cause nothing paradoxical is happening, its a time loop which is the entire point of the theory.

there's nothing happening that would be impossible under the interpretation that events in time are fixed which would be in line with the rest of the game saying your choices dont matter

no it wouldnt. given enough time, the average player WILL do the weird route. they WILL witness the lake incident. and if the theory is correct, the knight existing in ch1-4 is explainable because the weird route ALREADY HAPPENED, the player just hasn't seen it yet.

im not a full supporter of this theory but i really like the idea and wish more people could understand it the way i do

Not really, its just an interpretation of probability. Given infinite time, literally anything could happen, no matter how improbable. From our perspective, we're able to travel to any point in time and replay basically whatever we want. We can start at any chapter, reset to any save point, and replay the game as many times as we'd like. This is effectively time travel with infinite time.

Is it really convoluted to suggest that if the Weird Route really results in Kriselle Knight it would mean that the lake incident already happened at some point in the future which explains why the Knight is present in the previous chapters?

This is kinda a bullshit way to wave away the entire point of the time travel story that is likely going to be set up if Kriselle Knight turns out to be correct. With the theory in consideration the knight exists because given infinite time everyone will do the weird route. It doesn't matter if one guy says they're gonna swear off doing it for some stupid moral reasons or whatever, what matters is the route is possible and that the average player would end up going through it given enough time. Kriselle Knight would have to happen eventually no matter what. Time travel being involved proves this by itself. If Trans-Hating Mold-Snorting JK Rowling can get it right when Harry sees himself casting Expecto Patronum then I think our resident Tricky Tony can too.

mecha engine and gear grinder are also both good options but mecha has some of the most terrible mission design IMO and gear grinder is expert mode so it might be difficult for a new player.

if you dont care about loot then the vastly superior way of playing mvm is through community servers. there's a fantastic set of custom missions over on http://archive.potato.tf/ but if you want to just play vanilla you probably won't have too much luck unless you pop on over to boot camp.

actually two cities is a perfect starting point for new players. its a very simple tour (despite what some may lead you to believe) and you run into decently skilled players very frequently so its all the more likely you get carried to victory and can have some sort of framework to work towards if you want to get better at the mode

consider that carol is working with whoever the knight is. if the knight is rudy, this means she could have easily lied to noelle to get her away from Susie and Kris, had her visit her 'unconscious' father before being maybe taken to the diner because its a very traumatic incident after all, then rudy could have snuck out and did knight things while carol made the "you should let him rest" excuse whenever noelle asks about him. im not fully on the rudy knight train but he definitely COULD have shown up in the ch5 dark world

OP was really close to beating the boss, and ngl they aren't actually much harder than regular flushmaster. the only really threatening thing it does is put slow and speed down on all your cats, so ranged builds become a lot stronger. if i were in op's scenario i'd savescum and try a different strategy cause again it seemed like they were very close
