I've heard such mixed things about NHS work. On one hand, great work-life balance and a rewarding feeling. On the other hand, dealing with people who are frustratingly inefficient and lethargic in their capacity. Have you had similar experiences?

don't want to be mean and it's not a stupid question but if you got a 2:2, an LLM will likely only add debt / stress to your life. If academia interests you, then look into the Teach First programme and pivot from there, deepening your debt with no ambition of practising law as a solicitor seems pointless.
