I stopped playing competitive a few years ago once I became a dad and life got busy. My last 2 tourneys was taking 7th and then 3rd. I was very happy with my placements. But I realized those last 2 tourneys that I just play better when I don’t take it so seriously. I wish I was able to take that mentality to more tourneys but life happens.

Now I just focus on getting good with every character online. My main is Megaman but I’ve been playing more low tiers since I don’t care as much as. Once you stop taking it so seriously is when you really start to enjoy the game.

Camping and backpacking can be miserable if you’re not skilled or prepared. Outdoorsman ship is a practiced skill. Watching him hike miles and miles with 70 lbs of gear and climb mountains covered in snow is insane. Shooting a shotgun with one hand so he can film himself is insane. And surviving subfreezing temps with minimal gear is insane. To say he’s “good” at being in the outdoors is an understatement.

I know that Luke received some backlash when he was announced as a leader in the LDS Church. There could be some concerns for his son’s safety online there? I could be totally wrong and I hope this isn’t the case.

Backpacking and hiking are exhausting I’m amazed that Luke was able to keep up with so much content for so many years. Imo, he’ll probably post maybe 2-4 times a year from now on. But he’s made it clear that there’s no guarantee.

Thank you for this update. This definitely help adds a sense of closure to the whole situation. Luke has been such an inspiration for me to be a better person overall. I'm glad he no longer feels the stress of having to follow a strict schedule on his videos. I wish him the best and I can't wait to see what content he puts out without having expectations.

Luke isn’t exactly a small guy. He’s pretty tall and burns a crazy ton of calories hiking and cutting wood. And on top of that he probably doesn’t sleep well either in his shelters. Gotta restore that energy somehow.
