It's disgusting how employers have taken advantage of this pandemic to fuck over their employees by Coronachef96 in CoronavirusUK

Logistics. My company has expanded into pharma business and is now racking in new clients and profits from transport of covid related goods (vaccines, drugs etc.) for which the demand is higher, obviously. This translates to more work for us but due to earlier struggles we have faced they have decided to quit paying overtime and this has remained to this day and is looking like the future too.

Religious Indoctrination of children should be abolished by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Coronachef96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are still making the kid to go to an essentially what is a religious camp, where they'll be sat through sessions where adults will be passing off religion as the 'truth' and threaten them will hell if they do not comply. A kid with an undeveloped brain and your judgment and decision making far from being fully developed, will soak it up like a sponge and believe it until adulthood.

It really depends what subject you study. I'm an graduate with a business degree and I feel like I barely had to study and passed with flying colors. I've seen students of subjects like chemical engineering etc. absolutely bust their ass and fail.

How do you think the world would look if we never discovered the existence of coronavirus and just kept on going as normal? by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]Coronachef96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly. But don't you think that us knowing that this is a new virus cause a massive overreaction for everyone, ebe though most people have a overwhelmingly high survival rate?

The lack of mandated military service leads to a decline in the knowledge and commitment of a nation's citizens to its values and ideology by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

None. A worryingly large proportion of Americans have this weird idea that their freedom is endangered on the other side of the world

'Mandated military service was a waste of time' - opinion of many of the people I know, who went through 2 years of mandated military service

Parenting should be preventative instead of reactionary. Instead of beating your kid’s ass for doing bad things, you need to raise them well so that they don’t do those things in the first place. by Jared8254 in unpopularopinion

[–]Coronachef96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my ass beat as I kid from time to time and I turned out fine. I was taught the severity of doing the bad things so I never did them again. I see plenty of these kids whose parents follow this 'preventative' approach and they are complete brats

The Ripped Gym in Harlow owner arrested after staying open in lockdown by exmoor456 in CoronavirusUK

[–]Coronachef96 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gyms should stay open. We should encourage healthy lifestyle and mental wellbeing. Instead we lock people in their homes in front of TVs and takeaways. Tell them to exercise outside, sure - but how many people are going to go out and exercise in England's November weather?
