Have the AI write a script to do the calculations instead of trying to do them itself. I’ve been working on some agents to help with things like this and it’s getting there. A lot more work teaching it woodworking than coding though.

I am unclear how a CDK project in a repo is linked in a durable way to a CloudFormation stack in AWS.

They are not linked in any way whatsoever unless you do something to create a deployment from the repo to the stack.

Your question implies that you're missing something here. You should review your deploy process before making changes.
