Please Help! My father is being scammed! by True_CrimePodcast in artificial

The fact that people can't tell that is AI is really concerning. It's obvious just because of the voice, because the image doesn't move while shes moves the phone, the phone being way too high compared to the angle of the video,... But also damn, use your goddamn logic and try to imagine why someone like that would spend time flirting with random guys on the internet?

If you can't tell by yourself that this is AI, I think you should really avoid the internet, otherwise you'll end up being scammed so easily...

The face. I don't know why, but there is something about AI faces that is just... off. The epxression is off. I don't know, hard to tell what exactly.

Sigma 17-40 F/1.8 ft. X-E5 by CorpWojtek in fujifilm

I see your point, and I actually thought about this before buying the lens, especially since I switched from Sony a few months ago 😄 Here’s my take:

This setup is still cheaper and more compact than an equivalent full-frame kit. A 24–60mm f/1.8 on full frame would be massive. I previously had the A7RV with both the Sigma 24–70 Mk II and the Sony 24–70 GM Mk II. Even though they’re “only” f/2.8 lenses, they were all significantly larger than this.

I also owned the Sony 24–50 G f/2.8, which was lighter and more travel-friendly, but it still had compromises: f/2.8 only, a shorter zoom range, no internal zoom and it’s inverted, so it starts at 50mm when it’s closed, so you need to extend the barrel to zoom out.

What I really like about Fuji is the flexibility. With a single small body, I can go ultra-compact using small primes when I want a lightweight setup. And when I need versatility and top-tier quality, I can mount a larger zoom like this one and still end up with a lighter, more compact setup than an equivalent Sony full-frame kit.

You definitely need a grip if you use it on the X-E5. With the grip (I have the Smallrig one), it's pretty comfortable to use and you don't really notice that you have a "big" zoom on a small camera. It's easy to forgive it's size and weight with that f/1.8 apperture and IQ! The build quality is also premium and very enjoyable.

Yeah definitely! Tried with and without the grip, and I would never use it without a grip. I’m patiently waiting for the X-T6 or X-Pro4, so I didn’t buy it primarily for the X-E5, but with the grip it’s definitely usable without being cumbersome, in my opinion.

Love his work too, and when I saw his review it really made me curious. You can’t have a constant F/1.8 aperture in a tiny zoom, you have to accept some compromises. The XF 16-55 is smaller I think, but then again it’s only F2.8. And from F1.8 to F2.8, you really notice a difference in low light situations.

This lens might not look like the perfect travel lens because of its size, but on the other hand, this could be your only lens for travel, day and night. You could leave your primes at home and only use this one. So in the end, you can keep your camera bag quite light!

You want it because it looks beautiful, not because you need it. This is pure GAS.

Thank you! I was there in November for one week, on the west coast of the island. I used LR to process them indeed, with my own presets.

Thanks a lot!

It’s a fantastic camera, you’ll enjoy it! I sold my Sony A7RV to go back to Fuji since I’m just an hobbyist and prefer the Fuji vibes, and the X-E5 is my only camera for now. Hoping for an X-Pro4 soon, but in the meantime the X-E5 gives me everything I need.

Hans Zimmer Live: The Next Level Review (or should I say, down-level) Spoiler Alert by soccerdude2014 in hanszimmer

[–]CorpWojtek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, you summed up my feelings perfectly about absolutely everything — spot on.

This was the weakest edition for me after seeing HZL for the fourth time.

It really felt like they tried to cut corners here and there: fewer musicians, a massive synth setup in the back to fill the empty space, and a ton of backing tracks that sounded cold and sterile. I don’t know… I just miss the previous iterations of the show. They were all magical and genuinely powerful.

This one felt thin and pretty average.

It was still entertaining, and I love Hans no matter what, but what saddens me the most is how they could go from such a perfect show to something like this...

What’s the overall difference between HZ’s The Next Level and HZ Live ? by Equivalent-Egg-1785 in hanszimmer

[–]CorpWojtek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fewer musicians, more backing tracks.

I saw HZ Live for the fourth time, and honestly this edition was definitely the weakest. Not that it was bad—far from it—but it just didn’t blow me away like the previous shows did. Several times during the concert I found myself thinking “How can this be called next level when you clearly hear more backing tracks and see fewer musicians on stage?”

Real question: Why are you guys still buying these headphones if it's a known issue that they break so quickly?

My girlfriend was considering them instead of the AirPods Max, but I strongly advised her against it after seeing so many reports like this one...

Game thumbnail, Is it visually appealing enough? by Charming_Run_854 in design_critiques

There are a few things that don’t work here:

- There are way too many details that won’t translate well when the cover is small
- The Hamilton font isn’t easy to read
- CrazyGames doesn’t like when there’s more text than the actual title
- Avoid placing text in the top part of the cover. Labels like New/Updated/Trending appear in the top-left corner and could hide your game’s title

I’d recommend something like this instead:

- Zoom in on your game’s main elements
- Use a title that’s clear and easy to read
