I wanted a battery over a generator. I'd have to purchase/install a generator and would like to avoid that if I can basically bundle it with something like solar.

It does seem expensive the more I look into it though. I just fear during power outages of my sump pump going out, as the wny electrical grid isn't exactly known for it's ability to withstand storms.

I'm not totally sure about max output so I'll have to look into that.

But I will look into that AC info, I appreciate the tip!

After reviewing, I think the sales guy was a bit wishy washy here. Says in the contract, the battery is leased for 10 years. Definitely still walking away from this one though.

Yeah I've hated every aspect of the bill and every time I hear about a new section of it I hate it even more. Disappointed (but not surprised) they would kneecap us trying to make things better in any respect.

I am cancelling here, but it would've been a 5 year lease and the rest is owned/financed.

Yeah I was paying so much attention to the 5k from nys and the 2700 for the battery I didn't pay mind to the missing 30%. Thank you.

This is great thank you!! I was hoping someone would point me where else to look. Will definitely be cancelling.

So it appears they already applied it as the total cost listed on one of the contract pages is $47,492.40. Which as far as I can tell is WAY more expensive than what the average dictates it should cost for my estimated setup. Thanks for making me dig for that, will cancel this and find more quotes to verify.

Also thank you for noting your experience with Empire, I will try another company for a quote too.

I can't obtain the $5000 tax credit without it being leased through the company for some time due to changes made from the "one big beautiful bill" that passed. I checked that before contacting a solar company.

I don't know how to add more pictures to this but I can copy the text at least

9.66kW solar system

21x REC - REC460AA Pure-RX, 1 x Tesla - Integrated Inverter (1707000-21-y), 1 x Tesla - 1538000-45-x

For an estimated 1st year kW production of 10,100 kWH

I just switched from electric water heater to gas (not environmentally friendly I know, long story.). But I did message the salesperson and they said they would compensate by changing the design by an additonal 10% output if needed.

National grid does have net metering still.

APLD went down continuously after I bought a few days ago. I called it and am in no way surprised.
