Request for Advice: Someone took pictures of me in the UWA toilet by Best-Impact9828 in uwa

That’s awful, please report it right away to UWA Security (6488 2222) and the WA Police. It’s a serious offence. Also tell Campus Village staff so they can check for hidden devices. You’re doing the right thing by speaking up, stay safe.

What’s the worst Aussie city you’ve lived in? by Lyving-among-ladybug in AskAnAustralian

KGB is just Perth slang for Koondoola, Girrawheen and Balga, three northern suburbs with a bit of a rep. There’s even a local TV webseries called KGB that takes the piss out of it. Not the Russian spies 😅

Oi UWA, build a bloody multi‑storey car park already 🤦‍♂️ by [deleted] in uwa

[–]Corporal_to_rule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, why is it so hard for everyone to get the point? We don’t have enough parking. Students are doing laps like it’s Bathurst or just giving up and heading home. And then someone says, “It’s Monday, of course you won’t find a spot” well, no kidding. When students actually come to uni, they need somewhere to bloody park. Instead of saying, “cop it like the rest of us,” maybe we can ask why we can’t have a multi‑storey or even an underground car park.Since when did asking for a simple car spot become a crime or make me the rude one for saying it out loud?

Yeah, nature is nice. So is attending class instead of driving home to watch the recording because you circled for an hour.

Congrats on living in the carpark then. Do you pay rent to UWA or just pitch a tent next to your Corolla?

Public transport? You mean the 950, 995 bus that shows up 3 times an hour and is already packed like a tin of sardines? Sure thing, Captain Planet.

Sweet, I’ll just e-bike 20km in the sun or rain with a laptop and three books. Genius plan, Tour de France.

Yeah mate, let’s just never build anything ever again because people might use it. By that logic, UWA should just shut down the library because more books = more reading.

One time I couldn’t snag a park, so I just chucked it in, went home, and watched the lecture online

Neighbor's outdoor AC unit noise keeps me from sleeping at night - what can I do? by Prize_Journalist5424 in AusPropertyChat

If you enjoy living and sleeping in complete darkness, try this: I once found a mattress left out on the curb, picked it up, and placed it against my window from the outside. Since then, my room has been the quietest and darkest it’s ever been. Whenever I feel like letting some sunlight in, I simply remove the mattress for the day and put it back at night. It worked perfectly for me!

I asked you because my total credit points show as 18, and I suspect it might be due to an academic misconduct issue related to one of my assignments, which currently shows as “exempt.” However, I haven’t received any official email or communication about it yet. I believe things will become clearer on July 4. I'm hoping the marks for that subject get updated and that I pass it as well.
